First solution: edit your files

Do NOT change the maps that come with the game, ONLY third party maps.

In 17.10.2 the map definition file format has changed and any third party world maps may need to be updated for them to work:

    * Exit the game.
    * Find the map definition file for EACH map (for example, for AoRK map: <anarchy online directory>\cd_image\textures\PlanetMap\AoRK\AoRK.txt) and open it in a text editor.
    * After the Name and Type lines add:

      CoordsFile MapCoordinates.xml

    * Save the file.
    * Do the same for ALL third party maps
    * Start the game and select the third party map.

Example:
Code:
Name "AoRK v1.3"
Type Rubika

File AoRK//AoRK.bin
TextureSize 128
......................

Must be changed to:
Code:
Name "AoRK v1.3"
Type Rubika
CoordsFile MapCoordinates.xml

File AoRK//AoRK.bin
TextureSize 128
......................

Second solution: if you don't want to edit your files or if you are desperate

If you are REALLY stuck, you can download a full planetmap folder here on our servers:

Once downloaded, unzip it to your hard disk and replace the existing planetmap folder (somewhere in C:\Program Files\Funcom\Anarchy Online\cd_image\textures or the appropriate path on your system) with the downloaded one.

Note that we can't give the priority to such downloads on the servers so don't expect more than 800KB/s download speed.

For people who can't fix the maps, we made a zip file of the whole AO planetmap folder and subfolders with the last maps installed (AoRK 2 ans Spheremap, but NOT any other).

See the first post.

Please only use this download if necessary. Thanks.
