IP usage

I got a question.

What skills/abilities should I focus my IP on?

It seems that by the time I get done w/ body abilities and body dev. and Weapons, (Assault, burst) I hardly have any left for Nano and speed and such. I know I'm supposed to hit cap, but I'd like to know when I can start pumping IP into my neglected areas.

if you are just lvling to 220, then I would always max base abilities, then your weapon abilities, like Full Auto, and AR, maybe max treatment, and comp lit...but take your time on comp lit, then nano skills I don't buff more than i need just to use current nanos, w/ MP buffs to my nano skills

I'm a froob so I understand my max level is 200?

Froob max level is 200. But there are lots of disadvantages to being froob 200. ask me in game lol.

IP distribution is part of the game and how u build your character, this is where the differnce is between 2 chars that are the same. Its down to personal play style.

You will NOT have enough ip to increase all the skills u want until u reach Title Level Cap. This will be around lvl 130-150, when u have spare ip.

These are some guildlines for u:

Always MAX these skills, and treatment skill. This will allow u to put in higher ql implants to boost your other skills.

perfect. Just max body dev and increase your nano pool slighlty so u have enough HP and nano to cast.

You may want to increase Sharp objects skill for a special item called Kizzermole Gumboils, they are used as an extra attack, skill is 300 i think.
Grenade, same as above, ucan buy grenades from shop that do an area attack, not very usefull but good for kiting lots of mobs. This is up to u.

great. max ranged init (speed at which u fire your wepon)
max evades, mainly Evade-clsc (close combat), dodge, less important at low level Duck-exp. Depending on what u want to do (pvp or missions) max nano resist or increase atleast. not too important for missions unless u find yourself rooted all the time.
runspeed... im a fixer, MAX IT!!!!! runaway when in trouble lol

pic not load. but Comp lit increase slightly so u can fit better ncu chips, easily done with implants. dont bother wiht other tradeskills, u are soldier not tradeskiller (engy, trader,fixer)

only increase so that u can cast your nanos at current level. u do not need to max these skills. so u use a bit of planning and check what nanos and the max skill requirements are. but max treatment and first aid. so that u can heal yourself

break and entry/ trap disarm are important if u are going to be doing lots of missions to open doors, diffuse traps. so if u go mission and the door is locked and u cant open it, increase these skills. perception is required for a few items, not too important at your current level. but u will prolly increase later.

u will need to increase vehicle air when u get a yalm. u can also get a ground vehicle which is alot less ip called a Kodiak ( and cheeper). these are easily increased with implants. map navi, only increase slighklty so that u can upload maps and machines, use implants instead of wasting ip. this skill can NOT be reset, so dont waste ip on it.

Main abilities: max: stamina, strength, agility others should always be 70% or more

Body dev: always maxed Nanopool: depending on what nanos you're using but keep it on 70% and it should be ok

Melee: nothing

Misc. Weapong: you should not waste IP there (for kizzermoles you can just use implants for them without using IP)

Ranged: Ok, you should reset a few IMO and decide which weapon you are going to use. As froob there arent many IP Reset's and you might want to save them :wink: Div9 / BBI or Hellspinner are the best options that you have atm. I have got BBI's somewhere. You can twink the ql200 one at level 125 (it costs only 2m which is very cheap for an "endgame - or almost endgame weapon", and they are easier to find and cheaper than Div9's also, those skills will help you if you get expansions someday.

Speed: Ranged init, Nano init (you dont really need it), Nano resist (you dont need it for PvM). Evades: (Dodge, Clsc, Duck exp) max them when you can - they're useful. If you get rooted you can use free movements (you can find them on First Aid terminals - same as kit aids (they are color back and they need 1st aid skill + Computer Literacy)

Trade & Repair: Only Computer Literacy for Belt, NCU chips, and better prices at shops when buying/selling.

Nano & Aiding: you need them for this buffs:
MM - AC, DMG, Heal
BM - HP, Heal
PM - Stats, Weapon Skills
MC - AC, HP, DMG, Shield
TS - Shield
SI - Stats, Weapon Skills
1st Aid: its personal but I would keep it 50% or less
Treatment: only raise it when you get better implants - Dont waste IP, there are many buffs/items that you can use to get implants on.

The most important buff are: Stats (Like riot control, offensive streamroller, total focus, etc) Weapon skills: they increase your weapon skills (at higher lvl you can only get those nanos from dynas). Shield: for RRFE/TMS which is the most important as a soldier. Others are not that important


Spying: B&E about 40% so you can open mission chest's. Trap disarm you dont need it... if you find a trap just sit and heal and you'll be fine :wink:

Navigation: VA when you get a yalm. Map Navig for PF Map upgrades but be careful with it, you cant reset it.



If you want advice from a froob you can ask Trenchbroom ingame, he was froob for a long time. He was also the best froob soldier that I knew of, but he got expansions 8) Hitemhard is another froob soldier, he is wesome aswell, plays another character but I forgot his name. My froob soldier is retired, I got him to lvl 115ish only.
