Everythin OK for NZ members? Ustar?

Post by Chrisax »

Some bad news from New Zealand.

New Zealand: 7.8-magnitude quake rocks south, triggers tsunami

I'm not sure (?) we have someone from the Southern island of New Zealand... but how is it going? Ustarlen is from the North, near Auckland, as far as I know. And Cherib is where?

Yes, thanks Chris. Jusr waking up to it now. We are ok here in Auckland, but I'm a bit more worried about Cherib who is down the coast and closer to the quake centre. Basically, everything is closed from the top half of the east coast of the South Island to Wellington at the bottom of the North island. Schools are all closed and people are being advised not to go into Wellington. We are called the Shaky Isles for a reason. Thanks again for your concern.
