For now it's still with old engine but we at least can hope new players (if graphical aspect isn't their top priority, ofc

It's the OLD engine?? Geez no wonder they had to get Valve to make changes for it. What a stupid decision.

The launcher (which is what needed Steam modifications) is the same for both. And there are reports you can kludge the new engine to work in Steam if you know what you're doing.

Given all the crashes in the new engine, the decision is no surprise, but sad. As to me this says FC isn't looking at fixing the crash bugs in the new engine.

Yep my thoughts as well, the new client seems to have been abandoned.
