Instanced and NON instanced Pande: the Changes

Patch 18.1 will bring us instanced Pandemonium. What will this change?


Instanced Pandemonium
- You will enter instanced Pande, if you are teamed, through this portal at Pandemonium entrance:

- Instanced Pandemonium is exactly the same as current Pandemonium.

- Drop rates are the same.

- Mobs and bosses are the same.

- The respawn rate of tough mobs (not bosses) has been somewhat lowered.

- After raiding Instanced Pandemonium you will be locked out for several hours. It should be 4 hours but could be 6. So you can't chain-farm there.



NON-Instanced Pandemonium

- It remains exactly the same in 18.1

- It will receive (as I already mentioned in other posts and on org chat) NEW mobs in the currently empty or not visited areas in the future.


Lag in Pandemonium

Lag in Pandemonium is mostly caused by the number of players in public raids causing an incredible - and dynamic - concentration of textures and effects. The zone was never designed to be raided by 50 to 80 people but more likely by less than 30ish.

In Instanced Pandemonium, with less raiders, most of the lag issues should disapear.

The new graphic engine (the AoC one adapted for AO) should make things even smoother when released. (End of the year for public beta likely.)
