hurum, here, read this, it's the complaint letter I sent to the ISP people here in Australia...The form was: Write in the box how Person X could improve service, or somethign likethat, so I wrote all this, then I sent it to my GF, cuz she's been complaining too.

Service is too slow. Internet connection application is lengthy and clumsy. The service is really really bad. The way in which the service is provided is clumsy and slow. The installation fee is inappropriate for the service provided.
How it could be improved:
Customers calls and wants internet; he provides adress and billing information. Iinet verifies from HQ that there is indeed at least one phone line. If there is no record of a phone line (highly unlikely) Telstra is notified and the customer is contacted so that a hardline can be installed.
Later that day or at a scheduled time (in no more than three business days), a technician is sent to the adress WITH a modem, and the necessary equipment to assess the lines.
S/He arrives and checks the phone line, and installs the modem, and recommends a phone type or rents/sells a phone for use with the bundle.
It takes less than an hour and the modem is connected and the BILLING STARTS AND THE CUSTOMER IS HAPPY!!!!!
Welcome to the 21st century, where customers can buy something and get it the same day! What ever happened to streamlining service and product delivery? your service is absolutely so slow and clumsy! It's horrible!
I come from Canada, and Shaw Cable was our internet provider. Take a lesson in how to get customers their service and product from them. They are fast, friendly, and get the service to you faster than you guys call back to tell the customer he needs to do MORE stuff to get service. Service fee? You should be paying US to do all the work for you! Bullshit!
The numbers don't lie: 10-20 working days of unserviced customer= loss of 1/3 to 2/3 of a month of revenue = 50-60$ in lost revenue for each client who signs up for your unservice. How many new customers per year? 10000? thats 500k lost revenue. How bout this: how many clients are lost due to slow service? 1000? thats ~280 bucks on install+modem and $60*24 months lost revenue. $1700 over 24 months or 1.7M So My recommendation is get an office is Brisbane, and outfit a team of technicians to run around and get stuff hooked up. How valuable is this service? lets see: My girlfriends brother is the guy who does this for shaw: He makes six figures a year. THAT is how valuable the service is.
