Firefox 3 launch day flop

Post by core »

After all the pledging to download the new version and the support wanted from mozilla.org which found good response imo, the actual download day has been really crap til this moment.

It was supposed to come out at 10 am Pacific time or 5 pm GMT and at that time all mozilla servers crashed or became unreachable due to timeouts.

I managed to get the final version and it is good as expected (no real difference from the last rc3).

If you plan on downloading FF3 wait til the waves stop crashing on the servers before you do it.

Hehe, thanks Core! I was about to download it. I guess I'll wait a bit. I have the last RC though, so I'm quite good. :)

Seems cleared up ... I just downloaded it in 7 seconds from the corporate network.
