Do you really think they need 12 hours to just get a new expansion installed? Hardly.. So they patched the beta just before release but didn't have time to test it before the official beta went offline. This is probably what they will be doing with those 12 hours today, testing and poking while the servers are locked for the public.

It is standard practice these days, and yes something will most likely turn up which they overlooked and the servers will come down Friday again for 6 hours or something. Nothing new there 8)

they've had many patches take 12 hours before.

I'll be a bit surprised if it doesn't extend to between 15 and 18 hours.

yeah im aspecting the LE patch to be alot more then 12h .... and 3 patches next day .. and again and again

.. next days , weeks will be scary
