My 161 NTs perks

Post by teredoc »

http://auno.org/ao/perk.php?saveid=25758

Any comments / suggestions?

I will raise dimach a bit for zap nano + have a shiny cluster..

The def skill is only 35% so about 600 dimach should mean a pretty consistent landing-rate (I think I will be using SL NR debuffs anyway, NR1 is leaving my MC at about 1100).

Not answered question, why are you training NR1 on a freaking NT? :? You NEED that MC to land more nanos! :)

EDIT: Training NR1 is like getting your Attack Rating debuffed with 200 lol..

It's 1100 MC vs. 1300.

I was under the impression 1500 NR was common at TL5 and figured I would need to use SL NR debuffs anyway. These will land with 1100 or 1300 just fine due to low def skill.

Not against enfo I think..

Besides, I did calculations for a L160 pvp soldier with NR1 trained.. With OSB, he will get just 1.3k NR.. You will nuke him np without NR1, but it'll be hard with.

Oh and.. you NEED nanoskills to root peoples.. If you can't root or kite or whatever you're screwed :D

Hm, tbh I didn't do the calculations myself, I just saw two TL5s post their NR on the NT forums a while ago, I seem to recall they were in the 1500ish area (adv and doc i think it was).

My (small) experience is that UBT is the only thing that can really get me into trouble and so maxing NR is a priority. I think I will try some pvp with NR up and see how I fare. You're very right that it might mean no root/blind/damage.. if that's the case I will untrain it of course.

NR allows for some very nice perks tho:

http://auno.org/ao/db.php?id=227500 -60 nanoskills -400 nanopoints
http://auno.org/ao/db.php?id=227320 -100 nanoskills -1100 nanopoints
coupled with the NT debuff nuke, that's -275 nanoskills and -1500 nanopoints which seems very nice! (both perks have very doable def/atk skills).

I will have to think a bit about how my perk setup should be without NR. Without NR I will probably drop Notum Source since the perk there requires zap nano, leaving a total of 5 perks.

Here's the NTs total setup (with NR):

still missing mystical chest,HI ring,HI utils 1.

If more NR is needed, I can use collar for another 30 NR but more HP

Collar is very nice yeah, adds 90 hp on my solitus tho, which is around 9% of his total hp.

I will use it when I need the evades/nr - otherwise i'll take it off. Looking for something else, but there's not many good neck items around.

I was PvPing against a 197 eng today.

After a few fights I realised rooting pets was a stupid idea so I just decided to rk mezz them for the init debuff, turned out the pets were really mezzed (on players they just get the init debuff).. and the eng didn't know how to remove it. Does eng have a trick to unmezz pets besides recasting?
If not, that's a very nice tactic.

Even the 220 engi pets could probably be mezzed by an untwinked level 50 :(

As for unmezzing there are only 2 engi tricks. One is to get the 2nd pet to attack the first if only 1 is mezzed. (this doesnt work on the BS)

The second but biggest trick is to use an avoidance trimmer which damages the bot. This breaks the mezz but has a 5min recharge so just remezz and your away. (This can go really wrong in 25%/5% gas as the pet can turn on the engi if it has an empty hate list) Dont bother rooting as engis have a nano that removes roots/snares (about 5mins per cast, 6sec recahrge tho) So long snaring works as well.

Against engi's try not to get distracted by the pets. Yes they can do some evol damage but the engi is your real danger. Pets have really bad pathing so you can kite them with little problem.

The best method of attack is wait till the engi attacks you with the pets. Root the engi and run out to about 50m's. Mezz the pets and run back and kill the engi. Unless your using the LE nukes you will really have to watch the damage shield as engis can get it quite high. If the engi can get free he will head to free the pets from the mezz. So head him off if you can. the trimers have about a 20m range i think.
