Servers just went down, for FC to work on lag questions again.

Expect three hours.

Ok folks, we will be taking the live dimensions down at around 2140 CEST (around forty mins from now) to allow our us to replace some more of the hardware infrastructure.

We are doing this to try and eliminate possible causes of the issue by replacing hardware that could cause network bottlenecks.

Downtime is expected to be around three hours, again we thank your for your ongoing patience, and we genuinely understand the frustration. Everyone here is working as hard as possible to ensure these issues get resolved.

I am afraid we aren't 100% where the problem lies still.

What we are doing now with this downtime is to try and remove hardware that could be causing the network bottlenecks responsible for the current performance on the live dimensions.

During the downtime we will replace the blade servers handling dimension one and move them to a new blade chassis so that we can then see whether the performance differs once we bring things back up. This will allow us to know whether the issue is within the area we are currently using for the live dimensions or one of the network parts further along the network communication chain.

At this stage the work is about removing potential bottlenecks. We know the data is getting bottlenecked within the network infrastructure at the hosting center, and we have traced it through several levels so far, the job now is to remove possible causes so we can observe the flow of data further.

Everybody, both on our side, and on the side of our hosting partner are working flat out to trace the cause of these issues.
