Real one too:
Years ago, I was building a new computer and I had troubles with the IDE CD-ROM that was not working at all.
I contacted the support:
Support: "even if it's IDE, you actually need a driver to make it work on your system" (!)
Me: "oh well, ok, where is the driver?"
Support: "on the CD-ROM supplied with the CD-ROM unit".

you knew VB at 10?dpidcoe wrote:when I was 10 I made a program in visual basic that mimicked an error message and asked the user to unplug the mouse and click ok.
The best part was I stuck it on my dads computer, set it to run at a certain time while he'd be on it, then watched him actually unplug the mouse and try to click ok
I was taught basic vb around age 10 by an uncle Creating an error message isnt far beyond the standard hello world app in vb! And i knew alot of basic (from programing bbc computers) from before that when i had to wait in school an extra 2 hours as my mother was a teacher.
If you ever want to try learning a programming language i really would suggest trying vb as its very predictable for the basic stuff and the code is almost plain text alot of the time!

This goes by the lines of early internet support in Norway, were you got a CD to install some dial-up client on your computer, and a manual saying "If you have trouble getting connected, visit our website or send an e-mail to our support division..."Chrisax wrote:Real one too:
