BTW, for those who missed the beginning of the story: it's related to the big incidents with the chat servers that started last night and caused all Rimor bots to crash (and unfortunately !notify on lists to be wiped on most bots, likely).

Some techs tried to fix things and there was some short improvement, but then it went even worse. A hardware failure somewhere or file corruption is most likely the cause of the problem. They called more techs to work on it.

There is a thread on AO forums but, except FC, DrHyde is maybe the only one posting something interesting to read. (I didn't read everything though.)

We are experiencing some issues with the chatserver on Rimor that will cause the chatserver to become unavailable. The operations team is currently working to resolve the issue. At this time we are aiming to resolve the issue without a server downtime. We will provide more information on this current issue when it comes available from the operations team.

We will be providing a small update to the chatserver which will not require a server downtime. You might experience some more disconnects during the process and we will continue to monitor the chatserver after the update has been deployed.
