btw alpha whats the plan for teh tourney type? is it gonna be round robin style (league etc) or a random pull of names to face off to move along?

Probably going to match up random toons or teams (I'll roll them with a dice), then do a league (so even if you lose one fight, you're not out of the tourney immediately).

The last-man-standing thing should be pretty self-explaining.

last man standing... sounds VERY fun, but there has to be some strickt rules imo, or its the guy/gal running away hiding the most that wins... and, gagning up on one guy also seems kinda

I think on a last man standing, there has to be an even number of people in the match, and everyoen be paired off to start, then all the winners of the paired matches can fight whever they wish, ganging up or healing for the next fight, but can't switch targets until you've either died or won the first opponent.

That way, everyone who is alive after the initial matchup (should be) very depleted in hp, and shouldn't be in great shape to start pwning right off the bat... that would make there be more strategy involved in choosing the next fight, also, it'll give a benefit to those people who can pwn the most quickly... eating their opponents hp the fastest, and thus being ready fast for the next fight, or, can jump right in and finish off who they think would be their hardest competitor ... and even that persons competitor.

Last man standing would just be a mad fight, everyone can gang up on one guy if they so wish, or everyone can choose not to attack one guy if they so wish. It's all choices.

Ya, alpha the point of my post is to suggest that it may not be quite as cool to gang up on one person, hence it wouldn't be bad idea to make everyone pair off to start, that way everyone starts on equal grounds.

It'd be not last man standing, if you assign pairs you have to kill first (lol) it's just carebear pvp.

Only rules should be what's in OP - and no conceal, no running away (kiting is allowed ofc).

ya but if you go with your way, youre totally free to make "survivor"esque alliances beforehand- therefore negating the point of the tournament.

Call it what you want: carebear pvp or what have you, but I don't trust that people won't institute their own terms into last man standing. Hence the reasoning in having to complete a paired match prior to engaging other battles. If you have to complete one match prior to engaging in battle, it frees the tournament from having any type of dependable teaming, or alliances therefore making the tournament fair for everyone (if people were tempted and succumbed to making alliances prior to the beginning).

I mean, if you want to make alliances or what-have-you, thats fine, but then we should call it the survivor tournament - or do 6 on 6.
