DB3 - Dust Brigade 3 instance

Post by Rulzern »

The entrance to this entrance is the southern entrance in the Mantis Hive in Perpetual Wastelands.

This instance consists of 3 bosses and 3 minibosses spread across 6 floors.

1st floor
Fairly simple, mezz and kill the mobs, the boss will spawn addition adds in waves of two. A trick here, and on the other miniboss floors is to mezz the mobs that can be mezzed, and kill them after you have finished the boss. When the adds spawn, kill the adds before continuing damage on boss. Use a caller to make this less difficult.

2nd floor
There is a buff device in each corner of the room.
The boss is center, and flames will pop from sectors around him. (NS, EW, NE/SW, NW/SE)

The boss will do a few different things:
- Specialist Rafael Dietmart shouts: Cowards, you are next! - You need to have one of the 4 buffs you get from the items in the corner running, or you get nuked.
- Specialist Rafael Dietmart shouts: Buff name, give me your attribute! (ex: Torus of Aim, give me your precision!) - If you have the buff he shouts out, you get a debuff (like the buff, but negative), and a very large DoT, you can avoid this by getting a different buff, or heal through it if you have enough healing in team.

- He will pop flames randomly, in various sector around him.
The small flames will damage you, but you can jump over them.
The large flames will instantly kill you.
The flames spawn randomly, sector by sector and several sectors at the same time too (NS, EW, NE/SW, NW/SE)

3rd floor
Same as 1st floor.

4th floor
The boss here does 4 things:
Spawns 3 adds that run towards boxes, root/snare these, then kill them one by one, snare the one you're killing with shackles of obedience to avoid them running to the boxes, beware that roots/snares will be broken by boss, so stay on your toes.
Shouts something about "breathe it all in", get to the boxes and use them, this will hide you in a box, which protects you from a instakill nuke, you can cancel the box nano in your NCU when the green circles appear around you.
Does an AoE nuke, not really a problem.
Does an AoE fear, again, not a problem unless you're killing the adds, keep adds snared/calmed to avoid problems.

5th floor
Same as 1st and 3rd floors, but with more adds at the start, be careful when going up.

6th floor
This boss spawns an add that heals him, have one melee person tank the add while everyone else kills the boss. You have to kill the boss FAST, after a set amount of time, everyone gets instakilled by nuke.

The bosses on floors 2, 4 and 6 drop items.

That's it, congratulations on completing DB3!

Fixed the formatting, updated the info to reflect recent changes, and added a video on how to avoid the flames.

Tip for shouts

1. Go to C:\Funcom\Anarchy Online\cd_image\gui\Default\
2. Make a backup of TextColors.xml
3. Open TextColors.xml
4. Change values of

<HTMLColor color="0xff63ff" name="ctch_shout"/>
<HTMLColor color="0x00ff63ff" name="CCShoutColor"/>

I change these values as the same as tower battles, you can change to whatever you like.
