Creating the SWTOR Athen Paladins guild -?)

So, from what I have read (please correct me if I'm wrong), to create the guild we need:

- to meet an NPC on the "second" planet, so a new character can't create a guild, you need to have reached level 10+ and be able to land on your main planet.

- have 5000 credits available to pay the NPC

- be a group of 3 people to create the guild (note that everyone except the guild master -which can be changed- can leave the guild without canceling the guild)


Correct? If so we know we have to make some money and rush to planet "2"...

IF I get in and have time before I have to leave for late holidays, I'm planning on pushing a toon on all 3 servers I'm on through Chapter 1 so I can lock in my Legacy name (since Hyde as a toon was taken on 2 of the 3). But I can't make any promises because life has just sorta been that way lately.

I don't -think- 5000 credits will be that hard, since I am pretty sure I had around 2000 at L12 and didn't really have much I needed to buy otherwise. A couple of toons pooling credits would make it easy.

at level 14 I have 10k credits already, that's just selling crap to the vendors and doing missions, so it shouldn't be an issue

btw so far I think the Empire toons are more fun.

I don't know if I'll be able to move the characters I created in Beta to Shii-Cho server.

And, yes, I had more fun leveling my She-Sith Sorcerer Shree-Ax than my Jedi. But that was only the beginning of the game so we'll see.

We must have only ONE faction per account on a server, right?

afaik any character you created in Beta is now swimming blissfully in the ether.
(my obtuse way of saying that they are all deleted)

I have not tried to create characters of opposing faction on the same server, thats your question? I actually think it is possible but am not sure.

I wanted to reply to your question about factions on a server. I can confirm that a single account can create both Empire & Republic chars on the same server. (I have a L12 Smuggler & a L6 Imperial Agent on Shii-Cho)

yup, "DamnYankee" (that name is funny, he is a huge yankees b-ball fan) is a great friend of mine IRL, one of my best friends in the world. He is the one who convinced me to try this whole MMO thing out and who picked Anarchy Online for us to play.

I didn't manage to get Hyde on -any- of the 3 US servers I planned to play on :grrr: but with Mud's help I have the following toons on Shii-Cho:

Hydentity - active, Smuggler/Scoundrel
Rawhyde
Waldorf
Statler
Hyding
Jekyll

NOTE: Most are placeholders for names, so their profs may change and adding them to friends lists might just be pointless. I'm currently playing Hydentity and I don't expect him to be rerolled.

About characters of different factions on the same account, I talked with Dagget and he added some important info that need to be confirmed after official "full" launvh though:

That was always possible - what you cannot do is have chars on one account on one server in different guilds - they are either in the same guild, or guildless. That's how EA/Bioware has stated the matter, anyway.

This would mean that, if we want to have the two factions, we can either:

- be Republic in the guild and have Empire characters forming a group but not a guild

- have an Empire guild somewhere else if there are enough characters

- hardcore fans may have two accounts though

- etc. You see the situation.
