remembering a script name is easier than remembering a format :)

that's the point, you save the "/macro assistheal /assist %1 \n /assist" I mentioned to a script file, then you run that script and it generates a hotbar macro :)

Post by Threefingers »

ummmm just one question, is a "caller" the same as a puller? I havnt worked in too many "knowledgeable" teams yet so Im not sure of all the terms are yet.

Caller is the person who others assist to attack the same mob.

Puller is the person that goes ahead of the group to try to get a single mob to attack.

Can be the same person, don't have to be.

Great technical guide hyde.

I could have used this about 3 montsh ago when I started RLing :P

better late than never, and this will definitly help in better organizing tara raids.

Tara raids can get so crazy, so it's awesome to have a bit better knowledge about how to get people to assist heal and assist kill when it really matters.

Thanks!

Actually, everything still seems to work from a quick test.

I'll caveat that with this:

FOR PVM IT WORKS

Pretty sure the /assist changes (and /follow) are for PVP flagged events.

I know that /follow won't work if you or your target are flagged for PVP. I would assume they made the same change to /assist.

But for PVM ... yeah ... still works.
