AO-Universe accounts security and data compromised

Post by Chrisax »

Here is the info, act if you have an account:
Dear AOU-User,

you're receiving this email because you have a registered user account on
www.ao-universe.com

It has come to our attention that a member from the AOU staff has abused
their granted power to gain themselves access to the websites database and
potentially stealing user credentials.
While your login password is encrypted in the database, we urge you to
change your accounts password nevertheless.
If you do have used the same username/email and password combination on
another website you might want to change those too, just to be safe.

We're very sorry for this inconvenience!

No RIP !

It's just been classified as fishing site for now as intruder managed to install server trojan ; needs awhile to declassify. Khuri fixed it and is now searching to raise security even more for the future.

It's an serious incident but it's not the end of AOU. Otherise, Yahoo and many other sites would be closed for a long time with millions of personal files compromised.

They have to fix it, and it seems they are doing it now.

AO-Universe doesn't cause any more warning in Firefox and in Google it seems. Check Chrome; it should be solved too normally.

Firefox, Edge, Goggle, Bing, are all OK. Chrome I don't know if they fixed it.
