Patch 17.4 preview (yes 17.4) - Alien zones for low levels

17.4 will bring a lot of things...

1) A NEW ALIEN RAID ZONE FOR LEVELS UP TO 150: SECTOR 10
“The Unicorn company will be enlisting the help of mid-level players in fighting the alien menace in a new non-instanced open alien playfield. As the Unicorns continue to explore the Outzone they have come across a new alien staging area that is being classified as Sector 10, they will need your help to help confront the alien forces.

• New playfield for players up to level 150

• Fight new bosses and mini-bosses while exploring the chasms of Sector 10

• Complete new missions and quests inside the playfield

• Earn yourself new items and armor from battle against the alien hordes”


2) Ofab new BACK ARMORS


3) New VETERANS items


4) ADONIS QUESTS and NEW SYMBIANTS and SPIRITS
Addition of new quest series to the Adonis playfield and a new alien playfield for mid-level players: The History of Adonis
“The mysteries of Adonis will be investigated as players can embark on a series of great story quests that begin to unravel the mystery of the ancient Xan and the pinnacle of their civilisation, the great city of Adonis.

• Aid the ancient Yuttos and the scientists of Jobe to uncover the secrets of Adonis.

• Complete over forty new quests.

• Uncover the dark secrets of the ancient Xan and what befell their once great civilisation.

• Earn new rewards and items including new Brain Symbiants / Spirit for the final quests.”

5) MISC. GAMEPLAY FEATURES
First ones planned:
“Of course the updates aren't just about the new content, and there will be the usual host of new game updates and changes, here are some of the things you can expect to see in 17.4

• The damage cap in PVP combat will be lowered from 40% to 30%

• Added a new option so players can choose whether zooming in places them in first person mode or not.

• New birthday items in time for the sixth anniversary celebrations”

The new dmg cap will be interesting, will be easier not to die as MA, most my attacks can't cap anyway >_>

edit: This should mean that the triple nukes never can one hit kill someone, but then again afaik they ignore the 40% cap atm anyway

They don't ignore 40% ... they do up to 33% per hit, but hit 3 timers simultaneously. If this works, then even a NBS triple should reduce a person to 10% but not instakill.

I have seen more then one log where each hit within the triple has done more then the 40% cap suggest possible.

Yep, yay for 30% cap! Less Alpha Online! Eponyx also says they're doing more to reduce the Alpha Online-ness.

30% cap is like pre-LE with rrfe: back then, you had a 28% cap (.4*.7=.28).

I saw this an went wow! Then i thought about it and its a complete waste. Pre nerf my cap would have been 24% (40% cap folled by another 40% reflect)
Will be nice against NT's and engi vs ma's

Oh yeah and this screws over my lowbie twinks alpha's :P and also the silverbacks as advantage :P

It's just like pre-LE.. then the cap was 28% (40% and rrfe), now it's 30% with or without rrfe :)

Pre LE Yes :P But post LE engi's got an extra 13% reflect for the few weeks before they then nerfed the reflects in pvp.
