just got expansions :D

as the topic states, I just got expansions a few hours ago, I've been trying to read the guides some but it's still pretty confusing, here are a few questions I have to start off:

what perks should I look into training? so far I only spent a few points on the nano regen stuff.

whats the first specialzation and how do I get it?

where do I get the SL nanos like NS, empowered calms, etc.

where do I get a cyberdeck?

The first specialisation you get by collecting books and provide them to prof Jones in Jobe. These books drops of several mobs, but the unredeemed are a good drop place for this.
Since my tryout sl accounts are locked I cant help you by showing. Im sure some other are willing to help you and show some places.

I got my ely key last night andmrfreeman showed me around a bit today. I got my cyberdeck and a few nanos as well as 3 AI levels. Is there any other stuff I should be working on getting?

Maybe some Predator or First Tier armor?

And... big gz!!! Now try to get spec2 as well, should drop from the outside unredeemed boss mobs in Ely (try Nero). They're called something like Visionist, and there are some other names too I don't recall atm

we got both spec 1 and 2 for him so got the second cyberdeck. only thing is hes a 156 NT, is Tier the best aromor to get?

There's always better, but MUCH harder to get

If he wants to pvp I'd go for Combined Scout (as perfect armor), but I do have the impression that that's out of reach :lol:

For PvM, he can go hp too... Reactive armor is HARD to get, but forms a very nice hp armor!

And as I said, I think T1 is ok as well.. I'd just get De'Valos Sleeves instead of T1/pred. I'm also pretty much a Tier-hater, so you can maybe do Predator armor as well? But that takes more camping right?

I looked at tier, pred, and ofab armors on auno. I'll probably end up mixing armors, I was thinking ofab body armor for the direct damage modifier but thats about as far as I got.

I'm also running into a problem with sl mobs countering my nukes a good 25-50% of the time, even with nukes that have a 75% nr check. is there any way to make that happen less?

Unless you are against red mobs countered nanos shouldn't happen often with SL nukes from my experience. You can always use http://auno.org/ao/db.php?id=259339 or a higher version. In groups however the time to land this thing will cost a lot DPS-wise.

Also have your look at Reactive.. It's very nice, IF you can get it

You MAW keep your Hood of Wicked Inspiration (I assume you had it as a fr00b already) because that gives DirectDamage too.

I'm keeping the hood just for that, I also trained ancient matrix 3 levels for the 1% damage there until I ding 160 and can train enhanced nano damage.

I also realized that as soon as replace my carb I'll start running short on NCU, are there any NCU mems that are better than the RK ones I have now? I also need to look into a viral compiler, where do those drop?

You need to look into getting two viral memory storage units that you can get in, those will give you tons of ncu, easy to buy on gms for about 1-2m last time I checked.

someone gave me a ql 265 viral compiler and kel's as a tip for kiting ely hecks

now I just need axp for traning alien tech expertise and then I'll go buy the viral storage units.
