I signed up for the newsletter several months ago to get a better chance of getting into the beta.

But the link they provide in the EU newsletter has been "Forbidden" for several days now (it's not the same link as the signup you get from the normal page: http://www.war-europe.com/betacenter/) GOA sucks, big time.
I hope they will check my mail address so they see I'm a DAOC player with both newsletters, they have officially stated this will give you better odds.

I'm probably gonna play US when the game hits the shelfs. The europe provider GOA is (in DAOC); slower to update status, and slower to deliver patches.

But seeing how you can't apply for the US beta when living in EU.. I just spammed a few applications as soon as the EU beta signup was online ;)

Heh, I unchecked the newsletter box, maybe that was stupid :) You can't login to change it either, cause they suspended the login during the registration phase (odd...).

Perhaps it was :) Mythic is even rewarding daoc players ingame with items just for reading the newsletter... apparently they are very fond of them :)

I'm sure there should be another way to register to beta if you already received newsletter before this event:
During the sign up you have to state how you heard about the signup.. and the
only newsletter options is "someone forwarded the newsletter to me".. but damn it - what if you received it yourself.

I have a bad feeling GOA chose not the care about it, even though Mythic has stated many times it would matter.
