SWTOR Guides & Databases

Post by Bredin »

I thought it might be nice to have a thread with some guides. Its very possible we'll want to reorganize how we store guides on the forums.

Starter guide with lots of general information:

Some additional slash commands that don't seem to be included in the starter guide above (including some guild-specific commands)

http://www.torhead.com/ ... makers of wowhead.com. They tend to be one of the best financed and updated sites.

Several missing but useful list. I'll make a list from various sources and personal experience hopefully someday.

If you run into a champion, please note it. (Coordinates by having your cursor on the mini-map.)

If looking for a resource like WoW's "Elitist Jerks" theorycrafting site:

www.sithwarrior.com

I don't know if it is the same group as ran Elitist Jerks, but the forums are FILLED with similar quality materials.

One of the best resources I've found for teaching not just class basics, but also optimizing rotations, gear and such.

Not everyone likes to min/max, so if it isn't for you, skip it.

It is definitely sith-biased, as the guild that runs it plays sith, but they do a good job of explaining the terminology for class mirrors and trying to talk to both sides.

PS. Just be careful, if they are the same crew that ran EJ, they are VERY particular about what you post in the forums. It is FAR FAR safer to lurk their forums than to post until you are certain you have something worth posting.
