I have a problem with my internet, it disconnects for a second or two, and goes back to normal. Its VERY annoying when im playing, because i ofc LD. It happens from time to time, and the reason i know its the connection is that MSN and other net programs also loose connection.

This have happened both on XP and Vista.

I have a wireless D-link DI-514, but im connected trough a cable from the router.

ok, think i have given the info needed. My question is: is this a ISP problem or a local problem? could it be my router or some fault in the cable?

Best bet is to check your routers log.

It should say if its having any conneciton problems. Also check the cable and see if its loose or maybe got a loose connection.

Heya Fårs

I believe it´s the router, cause I had the same router b4 I got a new one and I had excactly the same problem! I never found out what was the problem in router was, but how you describe it is just what happened! I couldn´t say 100% ofc that it´s the router, but the problem stopped as soon as I got the new router, which is a SMC btw.
