Just seeking some guidance i was wondering if anyone had a link or guide or knowlodge on wheather a nanoskills creation staff build works for mp idea was using the high nano skill to self teir 3 rwihen and i believe nano skills determine ar if you use staffs on mp.

or is it better to hotswap lots of nano skill and do a bow or 1hb weapon for extra damage.

just want idea for builds althought i like idea of nanoskill build. mp will basically be for pvm raids and solo.

I won't claim to know a lot about MP's, but...

There are some valid reasons to consider what you want to do carefully.

Here's some things to consider:

If you go 1HB, you'll IP MM which helps equip the RH/LH phulaks (1210 MM for both)

https://aoitems.com/item/238932/pensive ... lakterion/
https://aoitems.com/item/238944/watchfu ... lakterion/

As far as I know, the 1HB setup for MP's is completely viable for both PVP and PVM.

PVM setups range from 2x sticks, 1x stick/1x shield, or 2x shield depending on what you're doing.

The tier 3 Riwhen requires a lot of swaps, generally, you don't use it in PVP, and in PVM it's about 30k DPM increase over the Tier 2 (IIRC), so it's worth swapping for if you plan to keep it up for a while or have time to get it up.

Now, if you are more interested in PVP, you simply wouldn't bother with the Tier 3 riwhen because a crat will just steal it and then you're hooped. PVP MP's range greatly, probably most do a bow setup, some do pistol, and some do a tanky dual shield setup with a lot of damage to pet soaking as a distraction type of setup, which works really well in mass PVP.

My gut feel is that you'll be happiest with a bow setup with some IP in MM to swap in the phulaks.

With three perks in AIT (or finished research?) you can swap everything you need, then go for a crit setup for actual PVM fighting, or some type of mixed crit/max HP setup for survival (probably not needed except possibly for hard boss fights).

The reason for going Bow as opposed to 1HB is maybe not obvious, but basically it gets you out of the way. Think about the number of bosses/fights that you don't want to be melee on:

Phobettor and all bosses in the pyramid instance
Beast
Dust brigade 3 fire floor, and top floor and the crate floor
In albatraum, the heckler boss and the keeper
The boss in Sector 13
Mitaar
12 man

There might be more but these seem to be the obvious ones. Ranged damage is more consistent, and that's kind of crucial, because in the new instances, you often need to be dodging ground attacks and stuff, and the ranged damage helps maintain steady damage while you're doing that type of stuff.

I don't think it mattes THAT much, but if it were me, I'd definitely take range. It's one of the reasons I'm kinda reluctant to keep working on my shade.

Thanks for the advice noobas. I plan to go pvm only on this toon so looks teir 3 rwihen is a must.

I think looking bow is smarter so might od that althought kinda liked idea of doing sheild too but bow works for me. so you think nanoskill builds with staff of juliasn or wahtever is wont work then too much of dps lose?

https://aoitems.com/item/275019/aggress ... n-redfire/

in theory that woudl hit okay and could gety decent ar with pure nano skill builds althought giving up on ranged ability there

ya honestly Buster, MP's do pretty well with melee or range.

My understanding, from this thread:

http://forums.anarchy-online.com/showth ... uot-setups

Is that the Crit bow setup swappable to arith / nanoskill stuff, will probably serve you pretty well.

It seems that pistol MP's outperform other builds slightly, but at a significantly increased cost.

This setup seems pretty tanky/evadey, but only 14% crit, but decent Bow AR for perks and stuff (not sure how important that is).
http://auno.org/ao/equip.php?saveid=198139

Some people think asp of titanush plus the abandonment of Xan is the best melee combo. Sort of like this setup, but this setup looks pretty bland, nice to avoid some swapping, but it's really not going to perform in PVM in a raid setting.
http://auno.org/ao/equip.php?saveid=150427 Note that I think this setup has changed. I think it used to have pistols in it... seems a bit mix and match right now, not much use.

http://auno.org/ao/equip.php?saveid=198142 Psikie thinks a setup like this with max AR would be better but I'm not sure, I think more add dmg and more crit might be useful.

The main problem imo with asp of titanush is the 2.25 recharge time. so you kinda need some melee init which limits what you can do with a crit scope in HUD 3.

Here's a setup I proposed that's clocking over 1k add projectile damage, but I think it's a bit shy for nano AR resulting in a lot of swaps for stuff. http://auno.org/ao/equip.php?saveid=198147

Here's a setup I proposed which takes advantage of the +energy damage that adds to MIMQ. This setup is kinda niche, but honestly looks like you could dish damage insanely fast.

http://auno.org/ao/equip.php?saveid=198972

If you were rich, and wanted to try something new... I'd aim for that one. with 12m buff, that setup gets you up to 1145 add energy damage, which means even your crappy min damage hits with offhand are going to be doing at least 1200 damage, This setup has mixed RE+pistol. The only problem with this setup is that you might not reach the necessary skill with RE to keep the dread rapier out of OE. I don't think this setup is that good, unless you could team with a trader for skill and a crat for passive AR boosts.

However, I calculated that setup to give you = 229697/min before perks and /pet attack, which, if you could get it going, would OD almost any other MP setup hands down.

In this post: http://forums.anarchy-online.com/showth ... ost6216529

Esssch talks about his damage using the pistol setup vs an inf heck (269k DPM) and in 12m (308k) both of which are respectable.

Later on after a more recent update, he tried his damage on a punching bag and recorded 421k http://i.imgur.com/DtlKQ9y.jpg

Anyway, I think in terms of ease of use, I'd put the crit/bow setup at the top, because that setup you can basically mix and match for as much nanoskills/AAD/tank you want, and stil be hitting kinda like 80% of your top damage.

In terms of hard core DPS, it looks like dual peh'wer is best, but note that I don't know if anyone has tried a PDKP setup yet, but my gut feel is that MP couldn't keep it out of OE.

Some people think a duel asp setup is good, and others think a asp/abandonment is good, and Cratertina thinks trip weild MA is solid as well, but all the melee setups are inherently higher risk than the bow/pistol/range setup and for that reason I'd always favour those setups.

Looking at all things sent me looking some date alot buidls wher usign the very strong teir 2 pet but now nerfged so i agree noobas i think bow with some decent crit would still put me in top end of things for raiding but would allow me ot swap for tier 3 rhwihen which is one biggest increase in dpm overall. I do like like look that rapier setup but i feel like tier 3 rwiken would be evil to do on it

thanks for advice i think good idea of what i want do and by looks of it dual asps if want to stay nanoskill would prefer decnt too :)

I re-iped yesterday, after considering noobas suggestions I think bow suits me best with tier 3 rwihen as you say i can be 80 percent effective with bow and some crit and add damage while doing the tier 3 pet without too many swaps. for me tier 3 pet is a must would feel silly not to maxmise my dps with pet and i understand after the nerf teir 3 pet is a beast compared to teir 2.

also on epeen note dont see that many tier 3 pets about so feel like i should make the effort toget it cheers again gave me a clear idea of where to go :)
