Yes some of these soldiers I named as sucking ones can perk me, but they simply lack the timing or swap to kill me.. and are easy to land NSD on.
Hellgator/Ctrannik are two of these guys, not very hard to survive at all unless they do their RI thingie which seems to be the HALP EASYMODE button for the new soldier. ^^----------------
This said I did some testing with Ocene the other day and we found out NSD NR checks are weird.
I was NR1 with ~1k nanoskills, Ocene was NR0 with ~1.8k NR, both full def.
Whenever I casted NSD it was on him (do notice I casted directly, didn't let the aura do it as it would be normally), it landed so easy it was silly.. when I perked NR2 and couldn't cast NSD anymore I had to let the aura do the job. But then it almost never landed.
Funny thing is - Gastly, whom I stood toe to toe for around 90% of the AMS duration, has 1.3kish NR (and is full def). NSD never landed on him.
I want to find out why this is, currently I've got two theories:
a) I must not be in nano recharge for NSD to work (IE when I am in CH recharge, which was permanently so against Gastly, NSD proc doesn't go off properly).
b) NSD, when casted directly, has a different NR check than NSD being "procced" off the aura (so without actual casting).
. Interesting thing.
