Bad router :chain:

My job has something to do with these things and they can do strange things.

Your routers lan interface + access point + PCs need to be in the same
subnet for example if 192.168.1.1 is your router lan IP then you can
use any address in subnet 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 (192.168.1.2-192.168.1.254) as a valid address for any of your PCs and access point.

To give a practical example
192.168.1.1 / 24 router lan IP
192.168.1.2 / 24 access point IP
192.168.1.3-254 / 24 PC IPs

Once you've setup your net as above and you still have probs, look for sources of interference like microwave ovens, wireless phones etc.
Try to move the access point to a location away from those potential sources of interference and change the broadcast channel if that is available as an option (most wireless access points let you chose from 1-6).

To see if its the access point that is causing the connection problems try connecting your pcs with ethernet cables on it and check if you still have a problem.
