BUGS STATUS AUGUST 28, Release day +1
The little "Top" link on each post, allowing the user to get back to the top of the page doesn't seem to work.
Solved
about the logo...
What new AREA on Rubi-Ka? You sure you didn't mean it to say ERA?
Solved + New image with better dimensions.
I'm finding that when I make a post my post shows up when I click the "View new posts".
Before the system would realize you probably read your message when you typed it
Working as intended, although a bit strange, and was a phpBB users request: this way you can easily find and check all your last posts without any specific search. Also allows a to control that you pressed the right button and didn't drop the post or saved it to drafts, etc.
When you receive a PM, the REPLY button doesn't use the right image.

Known issue. Under some conditions the "mark all topics read" command doesn't appear.
Please note that the "mark forums read" command is available at the BOTTOM of the forums list on first page.
Also... maybe we should force you to read every post!
Please say if a bug was forgotten.

Stupid call on their part. Should have been a preference. I totally hate it. All you had to do was go "back" to find your message. Now I end up seeing the thread hours later thinking someone posted something new only to find I'm reading my own post.
:sigh:
PS. I only blame you for saying those 3 words, nothing else

By the way, using the page back key can be a bit confusing too but I agree it should be an option to list or not your own posts in new posts. Note also that each topic has two handy icons:
One to go to the FIRST UNREAD POST (left of the topic title)
One to go to the LAST POST (near the name of the last poster)
AP site and forums validated for CSS by the W3 Consortium
Tonight I went to the WWW Consortium (Web / HTML standardization "authority") to submit our work on the new forums and introduction video page.
We are fully W3C approved for all our CSS (Cascading Styles Sheets: the things that determine colors, fonts, typography, many aspects of the layout, etc.)
This means our code is totally "pure" and "perfect".
The minor modifications we might have to perform shouldn't change that. (We'll retest of course.)
The other validation control is about HTML itself, and it can't be seriously done as long as we modify the forums (especially as 90% of the HTML code is produced by PHP programs and not directly written). A first series of global tests shows only minor syntax "errors" compared to the strictest standards of HTML (browsers are actually much more open than the W3C standard). Most sites have more errors, and worse ones. Nothing serious, and nothing that can't prevent our site to work flawlessly.
The "zero" error here is a technical ideal but not a goal at all.
Just for example:

Just for example:
- AP first forum page:
- 29 errors (minor) for HTML
0 CSS errors, validated
- 36 Errors + 23 warnings for HTML
132 errors in the CSS !
- 29 errors (minor) for HTML

Re: Report new forums issues HERE
Mytefe, when I have a moment, I'll have a look at the question of smilies and avatars.
I'll try to find some interesting ones.
Now, a concern: yes you inserted a web page in AP forums. Congratulations, I guess you are the first one to acheive this, except me of course.
Nevertheless, this is exactly the kind of pages we can't accept in an iframe because they contain junk and have a bad behaviour (unwanted ads, forcing popups or other windows, bad use of cookies, spy software, etc.). This one tries to open a new window to a"d.yieldm anager.com" (I broke the URL on purpose), and it seems also tries to place some tracker cookies. So I removed the frame and just left the URL in a code area. Sorry.
In general, you all, please do NOT open frames to sites like "OMG what wonderful free stuff I have on my site, lookie! All free stuff here!"

fwiw the message isn't a high priority Alpha. I'll leave it though so that you can debug things with Chrisax.
