I want a love like diamonds that’ll last forever
Through the sun or the rain or the stormiest weather
You can hold up to the sun and it will sparkle bright
Let it bask in the moon of the darkest night…….
With a love like diamonds you always get what you see
Uncut, precut, meticulous, no shortcut, original and free
Transparent and adherent innocuously promiscuous
To all comers, to all goers its nature wild and tempestuous
This love like a diamond is impervious to pain
Unable to be shaped or bent by the world in its disdain
Doesn’t desire anything but to be itself an object of desire
That consumes the mind and in time develops into a raging fire
I want a love like diamonds whose power is so absolute
That no price can befit it….a priceless existence noone can refute
So special they fight for, kill for it, even wage war for it
Do anything to find it then claim it; ultimately throwing themselves into the mental pit
I want my love like a diamond that flaunts it beauty divine
To these earthly things that cannot begin to compare for they do not shine
With the celestial brilliance that knows no respite, unprecedented in its plight
To be the best of itself and through itself the paragon of perfection in its partner’s sight
Like a diamond this love can suffer a million stresses ‘n fractures but it will never break
And for this it earns its title, it deserves its title one that I will never forsake
It never dies; it never shies away from its fate or its destiny
A true inspiration of conceit it openly boasts of its exploits and its infallibility
I want a love like diamonds that take their place in that ring…..
Set the precious stone in our hearts, watch us shine and hear our hearts sing.
