Hi guys,

As you would all know from the increase in omni numbers at BS who got wind that a gimpy advy was available to gank, i have started to do BS. First run went something like this "vicinity message: anyone wanna team"........ nothing.
Buff buff buff.
Look at map and run toward A, jump in A and nothing happens. Wonder why i didnt get points. See omni... chaaaaarge... Q.... pewpewpew "you tried to hit scumtron and missed", "you tried to hit scumtron and missed", "you tried to hit scumtron and missed", "you tried to hit scumtron and missed". Dead. Buff buff buff. look at score and realise we are losing.

/tell clan guy how do i "cap" A? Reply "just run there and cap it".
/tell clan guy "what do you mean by "cap it"? Reply "just run there and cap it". think to myself if he says "cap it" one more time i'll cap myself.
/tell clan guy "i ran there and jumped in the thing and it warps me". Relpy "thats the warp to take you to the point then you cap it". Realise i dont know what he's talking about. Decide to let them "cap it" what ever that means and i'll just be a nuisance to omni.

Go toe to toe with Soldi w/ dshark. pewpewpewpew. I think i saw his hp move a little but probably just a flicker on screen... dead. buff buff buff. realise i keep my buffs when i die

Remember noobas's advice on DoF and Limber. Change active bar to the evades, cocoon, heal one. see omni... chaaaarge.. Q hit 1 for flurry of cuts, 2 for machette slice, 3 for quick cut. "you succesully perform limber"... "you succesfully perform dance of fools".... "you succesfully perform cocoon".... Oops forgot i changed active bar. Watch messages and realise they are missing me!! Woot. all perks end... dead.

Omni took control of BS you got 400 points!! wow thats like 100 plamsa thingies.

Read guide on AP website about "capping", semi understand!

Try 2 goes the same as try 1. Lotsa dying 1 kill solo (hate to be that guy)!!!

So yah did that a bunch of times. Worked out if you stay in a pack you can do more dmg and less chance of dying, also got used to perking in nearly the right times, didnt die as much as i thought i would. In most cases i could last about 60-120 secs with perks, heals, perks, heals etc. Dont really do enough dmg to really kill anything though. Easiest to hit/dmg so far has been enfo (cos my perks usually hit). Evade profs have been impossible. Kiting agents and docs i just run the other way from. Fixer had me rooted more times than a bunny on heat so that was annoying!

Other than the first few tries where i died a bit it was quite fun. Was cool to run around with LK and Lup and Kitty for a bit. Will definitely be practising that more often and trying not to die as much and farm VP for my ofabs, ring, nanos, weaps and tokens lol. So only 300k to go 8)

Don't forget that sneak can't miss, so atleast you can give them something to think about by doing a sneak attack at the right time, even if you can't hit them otherwise.

LOL Rojo only 300k? That seems a lot, I know i need 165k for all my gear atm... and only have like 2.4k so i feel you. We will do more BS especially when i get to 220 this month

1 token = 100 VP, for 2.5k token board you need 250k VP, 300k doesn't sound that far out of whack.

You've figured out how to cap a point now? The usual thing the bad-gear-advies do in BS is just run from point to point to cap them. Hit perks etc.

Don't worry about Scumtron, that bastard has issues with dieing, you'll need a small raidforce to get him down.

As for the soldiers hp bar not moving, he was under Augmented Mirror Shield. That lasts 1 minute and 20 seconds. Then he has a 40 second downtime, whereafter he can AMS again.

So if you see him AMS, it might be smart to start a small AMS script to know when you are supposed to dump your perks and stuff into him. You could still keep on spamming Brawl when it is up, since it has a chance to stun (making it easier for you to survive) but just save the rest. Resistance is futile..

I lost my AMS script with my harddisk wipe, but I'm sure someone has one around.

Alpha i did work out how to cap. I'm not sure how the points system works though. 2 for core and 1 for A/B/C is what i was told but is it on a tick? Like every 2 secs eg. Omni own core and A get 3 points every 2 sec and we get 2? or is it just capture based points so you GET 1 point when you cap it? The main problem is that i cap it and then they attack me, i usually last all of the time to cap unless an agent AS me then Soldi FA me, but then i cant really kill anyone so i run and they cap it right back.

the other thing is how do you attack someone who is running (in circlesor just away)? I was kicking a fixers butt on BS and then he run, so i chase, no point though.

I need like 180K for my paragon + 36K for my mongoose + 7.5K for my other OFAB sleeve, 24K for my ring. So about 250k now ^^.

I need LE nanos plz Faros, i also need the paragon board, i'd also like any sector phatz so i can sell them an fund my advy.

ok got some pointers,

dunno if you read the post i think alpha said about the cycling, but BS is a great place to proctice.

perk DOF, wait 35 sec. perk limber, perk coon, wait 35 sec
perk DOF, wait 35 sec. perk limber, perk bio R, wait 35 sec
repeat.

this cycleing gives you high evades, and during low evade period, gives you a big absorb or a big hot. See how that works?

as for chasing people, advy has great RS, for starters, but, chasing people is severly annoying, so, use grafts instead. the most popular ones are
Hacked Boosted-Graft: Feet of Stone
and
Hacked Boosted-Graft: Lesser Paralyze with Indecision

oh, and don't forget, if youre shopping for grafts, to get your:
Hacked Boosted-Graft: Lesser Deflection Shield (Extended)

that will give you 2 roots to use (10 minutes recharge I think) and 13% reflects.. that will slow down those bugger omnis.

Also, SA, and backstab are definitely some of the best attacks to use. If you've got SA maxed, you'll be doing huge dmg, and feel good.

grafts can be high cost right? But i will look into it for sure. The problem is i guess you hotswap them during BS so you can pop it in, root, then pop in your normal bracer? If i say have a DB and Alb bracer i'm quite sure i wont be able to hotswap with CL req's, so do i just take one off and hot swap the graft into only 1 wrist slot?

I dont have SA maxed but its high. I hit it where i can and as often as i can. Also i hit BS when i can and if the dude is fighting someone else. I have a few kills in team and a few assists (where's that stat hmmm). When i hit a dude that someone else is hitting too i normally get about 800ish normal attack and my SA does make that bar jump down a few blobs, so does BS and so do the 2 main Perks (Flurry and the other one) if i can land the perks (about 40%).

I try to time the SA and BS to when they are already low cos in BS if they get too low they run then i can never finish them off and its annoying. So i wait until the are about low enough that my big hits will kill them rather than take them to 20%. Is that what you guys do?

If i fight solo i usually dont do too much dmg as Docs/agents out heal my dmg. Soldiers out Alpha me before AMS runs out, Crats sick Carlos on me and usually i die first. Fixers run. If they all stood toe to toe i think i could kill a fixer, crat (maybe).

I'm working on perk cycles. Can anyne post some sceen pics of their PvP layouts with Hotbars, etc? I find i'm a bit muddled. I try to keep heals/cocoon/evades on one bar. Attack perks on another bar and then regular attacks (FA/SA/BS/Br/) on another. Is that kinda what you have? I'd love to see ppls layouts though. I'm a laptop user so i think i need to get a mouse too but then i have to get used to using my left hand more... ugh

The other thing is at my lvl and ability am i best to boost evades with the research attunement defence for the +100 or am i best to go for the +1000HP/+25 Abilities one? I only have about 10K Hp without the +1000 HP. So is extra evades < Extra HP?

You dont have to have the grafts equipped to use them, just put em in inventory or a BP and use em from there.

What I do now is put them in my social tab on the wrists, and then link 'em on the hotbar.

Also evades > hp 99% of the time imo, for the research device, specially as an advy.

As for the Mongooses, you should get only one Mongoose Mk6 and equip it in main hand, and keep a QL300 Kyr'Ozch Axe - Type 240 for the other hand.

That's because the Kyr will only do regulars. It will not matter much damage wise. But, the Kyr has a proc on it, called Glory. That's an AR buff up to 36 AAO, lasts a little less than 2 minutes, and can be the final bit of AR you needed to perk that pesky evader.

And besides, less VP to be farmed!

Also, a little tip on crats, carlo only has about 2.2k AR, so he shouldn't be able to hit you much, CEO has about 2.7k. Some crats will spam the stun nano on you, so if you get stunned, try a FM.

As for the point system, it works on a tick, so you get a specific amount of points per tick, regular points are worth 1 point, and core is 2 points. If one side gets all the cap points, the tick rate goes way up, the "rule of thumb" is that if your side has and can keep core, you're almost guaranteed to win (core + one other = 3 points per tick), but ninjacapping to get all the points can easily win a BS, however, people are on the BS for wildly differing reasons; some are there to PvP, some are there for VP, some are there to gank greens (much less common now with the new PvP title system AFAIK). For that reason, people do different things, often conflicting with your goal (if you're there for VP, they might be completely uninterested in capping points, if you're there for PvP, the other side might be full of ninjacappers that have no interest in PvP at all etc.).

thanks for info rulzie. It does seem like if you can hold core you can win most of the time. Its hard atm cos omni seem to be able to get core easily and then have a doc-trad-sold combination going with a few APT in core. We won a few BS today but 90% of the time we lose. But i am just VP farming so i dont really mind who i kill etc.

Not sure i'm a big fan of BS style PvP. I'm interested more in PvM with maybe a few duels along the way. I'll try Evade set up more than HP with my attunement device and see how that goes.

I see what you mean about conflicting styles. Most of the time clan seem to be haphazardly running around not really capping and Omni seem more organised. But its a small detail.

I'm learning to fight better but in almost all cases i end up dying fairly fast. Mostly due to a 2nd or more person fighting. I fought a soldi today solo and it was kinda close. He won obviously but i did manage about 2-3 cycles of DoF, cocoon etc which is a bonus.

honestly your MAJOR priority should be other 10-13 AI levels first (not hard to get AI20 these days try go lft for APF 13 sec AXP farming) and after that go BS.

Unfortunatly I noticed that clan lacks supports classes on BS and when there are some they don t team ... but you can stick arround other pple and be fine (most of the time you ll get charged last as Advy ) and try to HEAL them a few...the longer they live the longer you live

KYTE --- as much as you can ... sync is on your side specially if you can t kill much. Use root crafts to escape sudden movements and change of direction are a must ... don t kyte ranged classes in circles tho

KNOW YOUR ENEMY - their class just by name it helps a lot and keep tabbing all the time soon you ll learn what you need to kill first even if your in fight and when is time to bail ...

FREE MOVEMENTS are a MUST on BS

Like NOOB pointed out time your perks and you should be on constant movement to cap points specially cause you want VP.

BUFFS -- at start of BS there's a buffing mini session taking place as soon as you leave rezz room(MOVE a lil aside from wrapping point so pple can actually select you). You as advy you should give wolf & stare to all pple there. Don t wait for pple to ask ya ... good ones will buff ya soon without you to bother to ask and you ll have all the goodies
