currently there is a bad Avast update that is providing tons of false positives

the FP is:

win32:delf-mzg [trj]

currently there is no fix or word from Avast, but i will keep an eye out for it and update

Don't disable AVAST, jus turn auto updates off until it's fixed, probably within 24 hours.

UPDATE: Avast was able to detect the VPS issue and now has released a new one promting an update

All is back to normal. You can update and also have auto-updates on for the virus database (and possibly the software but, personally, I'd rather have the software in a "check but ask for confirmation" mode).
