18.3.7 Update Release Notes
Re: 18.3.7 Update Release Notes
About the Collector instance, a clarification (maybe Grind will want to update our guide in the making?):
Question: Collector seems to be doing a 40% hp attack now. Is that new?
From: http://forums.anarchy-online.com/showth ... 655&page=2Kintaii wrote:Ok... lemme comment on this because I know it's gonna cause a little confusion. And really its kind of a stupid story so there's probably someone out there who'll find this funny and laugh at me in the process. ><
When we were initially designing The Collector, there was a system set up inside the playfield designed to keep people from huddling in the corners - A series of collision spheres that, when a player had a nano running on them, would teleport them to the middle of the playfield, thus keeping them from just huddling up and not going anywhere. This nano landed on the players via one of the attacks the Collector does - So, Collector hits player, nano lands, collision sphere checks for nano, player gets teleported.
In the process of making the Collector we decided to remove the teleportation bit and just make the walls hurt players, thus negating the need for the nano on the Collector. To expedite the process a bit, I took the nano that was supposed to teleport players and turned it into the nano that hurts players when landing on the wall - 40% of HP and a little "Ouch! The spikes rend at your flesh!" message. This worked fine and everything was gravy.
... except that I forgot to remove the proc nano from the Collector himself. People were wondering why they were getting the wall spikes message in the middle of the playfield, and were blaming it on lag. Yeah, not so much lag as it was developer forgetfulness. ;P
I happened to actually remember this a little while back and, in looking at it, we decided to keep the actual proc chance on the Collector, but changed the message to reflect it being the Collector thats hitting you and not the walls.
So nothing's actually changed in terms of the damage the Collector does - Just the message that lands when he does his big hit. Still the same amount of damage, still the same chance of the nano landing on the players. Just a difference in text.
Hopefully that explains a few things.

Froob compos!!! <3
AP
When you wish upon a falling star, your dreams can come true. Unless it's really a meteorite hurtling to the Earth which will destroy all life. Then you're pretty much hosed no matter what you wish for. Unless it's death by meteor.

the new nanos are also composite Medical expertise (which has a nice addition to nano and heal delta) and a combat which increases things like RS, conceal, perception etc. All are available with the skill req 61 PM/SI including the 8hr versions. So virtually no locks other than level to cast. Would be nice to see the old Comps have their reqs reduced as well. Lots of 220's dont have/need lots of PM/SI and it would be nice to not have to waste IP as well as creds
