Keeper (SL only)

So as you might know, I'm levelling a Keeper. The account is SL only and I have no intentions of upgrading it. I think at this point it's going to be half the fun, just to see how far I can take this character with old junk

1. I'm thinking of a full set of Tier 3 armor. Got better ideas? Name them etc
2. My best options regarding weapon seem to be Queen Blade from lvl.161, and Enhanced Queen Blade a bit further up the ladder. After that the endgoal is prolly the Sword from Tarasque. How realistic is that? Are Clan still doing Tara, will *all* Enforcers roll on the blade just to fill up their collection in their bank?
3. General items, I guess some Beast items are the best choice? (thinking of belt etc).

Sword of khoine and the upgrade of that sword of khoine's will are definitly an option, it's a reward for completing the penumbra questline, also sword of the illuminated and copy of the excalibur do well. For armor well before AI bellum was considered endgame just as T3, not that much has changed since then so T3 is a very good option. You'll be missing out on some hud/util items aswell as ncu items so those will probably find their origin in IS or pandemonium. /scratch, if you want to discuss it more look me up ingame .

Some tips, but our Keepers will certainly be able to say more:

- Miy's armor (various kinds) drop from RK mission bosses (and possibly dynas)
Good buff armor and good to use too; helps a lot and quite easy to find (APs can even have some)

- Bellum Badonis armor (drops in Inferno from Hiatlins bosses; need some help to kill due to adds), to combine with a few Tier 3 depending on your needs

- Enhanced Dust Brigade armor for high levels is wonderful! It's a must-have. You need an AP team to kill the boss in DB instance 1. Drops rates are good.

- Other NCUS: the Inner Sanctum one is not for keepers. This leaves you with Yuttos ones that can be upgraded with Dormant Devices from Albtraum. They are sold by Yuttos in Penumbra. A QL 160 version drops in Pen quest.

Also, Zodiacs in Pandemonium drops most excellent memories, still probably the best ones in game if you need nanoskills mostly (with LoX ones but higher requisites)

- In Inner Sanctum, don't forget Might of the Revenant, the blind ring, the DoT ring, as well as some old fashion edge weapons that may help (Gelids, Desecrator,... well even the FBR)

- Corporal Ashley Winstead quest for your mid-levels keeper nano "Wrath" (improved version of Fury)

- Dark Ruins instance in Adonis: tons of xp (the first mission will give you like 22M XP at level 150. So if you do not want to level up, turn all XP off!) and an armor which is like an upgraded predator armor

- Don't forget Penumbra big quest (gives your your Specialization 4 and some items to make Tier 3) and Alappaa which is an instance at the end of the quest or can be done as a normal instance. Great shoulderpads here that can be upgraded with items(common drops) from Dust Brigade instance 1 on RK.

Imo,

you'll be a bit shorter on 2he skill than with AI /LE expansions.

if youre playing mostly in SL, I'd get blade of khione ASAP, and go for a high AC, high absorbs setup (coon), and utilize all espects of your toolset for survival (IE, use relfects, ward+13% graft (zoning kills it), instead of evade setup) (your evades will be shot becuase you need to be near full off for blade of khione (-500 MI)).

go for AC's over everything, except 2he skill. almost all your damage perks (wrath, cleave, transfix, pain lance, SnD) all check 2he skill for their damage range, so, higher skill=higher dmg perks.

don't forget simple stuff like silken legchoppers, tiny spider band (if opi), rhinoman armour chest is decent until you get tier's, dragon armour legs for evades before BoK, etc.

try utilizing aura's during fighting: run in, launch all perks, then kite until your perks are up and go hit em hard egain. You will find your defences are mediocre with reasonable offence in SL with BoK, alternatively good defence and crap offence, and, i've found that during mid levels that utilizing auras (the stupid perk one) and out of range kiting can really keep you alive during tough fights.

Get Havoc reaper (reaper line), and make use of all ticking health: high stam, high HD setup, HD/evade close/AAD foot implant (QL 200 if nothing else), auras and perk heals.

Another super secret I use for optimizing coon, is to stack coon and Dev armour for really hard hitting opponents. I use for pvp, but works great in PVM also. The point is to reach like 40-50% reflects, and then your 5000 layer coon actually goes up to 10000 layers (5000/0.5=10000).

I use vs enfs during alpha, but works great on hecks or whatever too.

Ewww, don't do this unless you really have to, on SL mobs that cycle damage your coon will absorb a ton of hits anyway, and it's better to keep devotional armor for coon downtime. Cycling coon/dev armor/BR/CT is one of the keys of surviving solo as a keeper while maintaining a reasonable damage output, stacking them is for when you're in a team and the defecation hits the oscillation and PVP IMHO.

What is the level requirement for Tara raids these days? What's the bots name, if there still is one? I don't remember half this stuff. I need that Edge of Tarasque.

bring your best equipped TL7 to tara. you get more points on a Tl7 than TL5, which should make it easier to get the sword.
