I'm a UK based player returning to AO after an extended absence of a few years. I've been playing on and off since about six months after launch, and am currently looking to join an active and sociable guild.
My main is Okadu, a 205 MA, and I have a couple of other TL4+ characters, but I spend most of my time on my main. I'm very hands-on, having built or collected all my own gear, and I've earned all my xp myself. I'm aware of all the basic do's and dont's of AO life, so you wont find me begging for credits or throwing tantrums in org chat, but I'll probably have plenty of questions about some of the more recent additions to AO. There's been a lot of changes since I was last on Rubi-Ka!
I don't have the LE expansion, and am currently decked out in some pretty primitive gear, so I'd be an enthusiastic participant in any sk teams or raiding the org wants to undertake. Having said that, I'm not obsessed with getting hold of "uber" items, and am more than happy to help lower level characters in whatever way I can. AO has a lot of timesinks and difficulty spikes in it, and I realise that with the decreased population these days we all have to rally together if we're going to make the progress we want.
In the past I've been lucky enough to be a member of a couple of very friendly and socially minded guilds, and know that I would much rather spend my time around people who can relax and enjoy themselves than those who are all-consumed with the race to 220 and the best gear. From your description Athen Paladins sound like the perfect new home for me
I have read and agree with the code of conduct and chat regulations, which all sound eminently sensible to me.
