Hi
I did /filter add egpal then /filter enable . After this my game insta crashes . So is there a way to remove the filters from files so can log on again ?
Filter problems making me crash
Re: Filter problems making me crash
I don't remember where, but it is stored in a text file. Maybe a .ini file? Search for "egpal" in all files in your AO prefs and you should find it.stokken wrote:Hi

I remember since I had the same happen a few years back. Bit might know the file name.
Re: Filter problems making me crash
Found it in the Prefs.xml
-<Root>
<Value value="true" name="ChatFilterEnabled"/>
-<Archive name="ChatFilterRules" code="0">
<String value=""EGPAL.CO/\/\"" name="1"/>
<String value=""EGPAL"" name="0"/>
<String value=""EGPAL.CO/\/\"" name="2"/>
Any idea if thats the one that needs to be edited and if so how ?

Re: Filter problems making me crash
Ok problem solved . i removed the prefs.xml file and replaced it with the prefs.xml file from beta engine and solved problem some what . but i need to redo setting ingame sound/resolution etc
But i would still like how to get old xml file back so i dont have to tweak all settings again

It's a text file, so just edit out the filter lines of the one you had.stokken wrote:Ok problem solved . i removed the prefs.xml file and replaced it with the prefs.xml file from beta engine and solved problem some what . but i need to redo setting ingame sound/resolution etc
