AO account page redirected - How to reactivate Froob account and "payment pending" frozen accounts

Sometime on 19 February 2023, register.funcom.com started redirecting to account.anarchy-online.com. This is the "new" page that has been up for years but never looked finalized so far.

This is not really great news as the old page was clearer (everything is relative) and less bugged than the new one. Some things could even be done only on the old page (or I never found how to do them on the new pages). So if the new page(s) hasn't been improved, it could become a pain.

I never understood why FC didn't make user-friendly the accounts pages and especially the payments ones. This is where the money comes from! Usually, even on the worst game sites, payments are the (only) thing that work well.

You will find below how to re-activate FREE (froob) accounts on the new page and "payment-pending" accounts !

Yes, this also works if your paid account is stuck on "payment pending".

Once logged on your account page, type and validate this URL in your browser

I just had to reactivate a froob account, I can confirm that this works.
So log in the usual way, then after that go to

https://account.anarchy-online.com/uncancel_sub

That would be the solution all bots admins have been waiting for.

But after logging on, when you do https://account.anarchy-online.com/uncancel_sub, does that display anything specific?

I just tried and nothing special was displayed.

Or is typing the URL sufficient?

I pasted the url in the address bar and pressed enter, it took me to the usual screen but the account was unlocked.

I've been trying to reactivate a froob account and all I get is a message stating "Your account is not paid for or has been blocked" when I try to log into the game. When I try to contact Support I get a message that the website's certificate is likely expired.

Thx Mop. It did the same for me but as I have nothing expired ATM, I can't check on my side if it works. So your own experience is precious.

Dos that really stop the auto-cancellation of froob accounts "forever"?


@Con: that's why, so far, the old page was superior because it was quite easy to re-activate in a few clicks.

You'll have to try the method Mophro just explained. As for the certificates, I guess I had already expired certificates on some pages of FC. The URLs we know remain legit though. At least ATM.

The only indication you get that typing the URL above worked (other than being able yo log in the game) is that, in the Account Services Panel, more options became visible.

Additional benefit, at that location you can still change your payment method there too!

I'm not getting it...
If you hit 'Add New Payment Option' it just throws you to the new page!
If you view the failed payment and chose the 'Use a Different Payment Option', there's no fields to fill in!!!

Any other ideas?

It didnt do that before, so they must have changed it.

It is still possible however, to remove a payment option if you have one thought.

Well ... that other page isnt what you need to reactivate a froob account if that is your intent.

Just log into the froob account the regular way and then paste+enter the below url in your address-bar:
https://account.anarchy-online.com/uncancel_sub

No, it's a sl00b account actually, but what I'm actually trying to do is simply add a payment type.
