Hi all!

I've been playing AO for about a year off and on, so I'm still relatively new to the game. Downloaded once in like 2006 and remember running around the noob island, but was in high school and played a lot of WoW back in those days so didn't give the game a fair chance. I kind of now bounce between EQ Project 1999, WoW Classic, D2R, and AO.. but AO gets the majority of my limited time. Have a 2-year-old and a newborn, so usually only get a few minutes a day to do Dailies, maybe more time on the weekends.

I'm still trying to figure the game out, but I have the general gist pretty well. A lot to learn still for someone whose relatively new - this game has a lot of moving parts. I have 4 characters that are sitting around the 130-145 range (Zohroxig (ENF), Cenridor (DOC), Qormusata (ADV), and froob ENF I forgot his name lol), but I'm still enjoying trying to figure out which class I want to ride to 220. Current toon who I'd like to join AP with is Ustek - 41 Keeper.

Would like to join AP to meet more players and learn more about AO. Was recommended to look into joining the org by Mrbloke, who I met at KH on one of my other toons. Definitely a casual player, not a min-maxer, not rushing to end game or anything like that. Looking to just learn from more experienced players and try to get better at the game. I enjoy staying active in Guild / Raid Discords in other MMOs I play, so looking forward to meeting yall and gleaning some of your Rubi-Ka wisdom!

Hi Ustek and welcome on our forums. :)

We welcome all kinds of gameplay and if you are casual, it's not an issue at all. Real life first and kids too. And we are always happy to help someone learn the universe, and the details too, of AO. It's good you already met Bloke!

You can join with ALL your characters. It's better. :)

Also, thank you for reading and agreeing on our Code of Conduct etc. Now let's go into the last details.

YOU ARE JUST 4 (actually 1 is already done) SMALL EASY STEPS TO JOINING ATHEN PALADINS


1. 45 SECONDS OF READING (ALREADY DONE)

2. ENTER OUR HOME
  • Join our guest channel on our org bot ("Bobsan") so we can meet in Anarchy Online:
    • - Ask any AP member to invite you to our guest channel. Just say you are an applicant.
      You can usually find AP members at the ramp of the big Vanguards building near Old Athen Grid terminal (where the NPC Ramon Bauer stands).
      OR
      - Invite yourself: if you can’t find a member you can self invite by typing /tell Bobsan !join
    These are temporary invites: do it again each time you want to be on guest chat.

    Once on guest chat, feel free to introduce yourself and ask for an officer. Also ask for help with any questions you may have about your application.

    At some point, an officer will contact you for a brief interview.

3. FIND AN OFFICER TO TALK TO
  • Help, questions, concerns, interview… Officers are here for you.

    Once you are on our Guest channel (see #2 above), do !online in chat to see who is online and to find any of the officers listed below.
    OR
    You can directly see if a specific officer is online and on what alt, by using the command !is in chat, like for example, !is Reyz will return the character(s) Reyz is online with.

    • UTC can be seen in-game with the F9 key.

    4. SOMETHING TO REMEMBER
    • You are about to enter an old and happy family. Please join us for the good reasons. This family had been built since 2003 by the work of awesome people. So, as you are joining, we want to mention old friends and officers we lost.

      You will never see their names online, but if, today, you can join us, it’s also because of them.
