POH, TOTW, SUBWAY - (Another) attempt to plan in the raid schedule

Post by Gridframe »

Dear Paladins,

After recent discussion regarding the raid schedule and some deliberation with several Officers on our official Discord, and realizing that recently an increased interest for TotW, Subway and PoH raids has surfaced, we are willing to attempt to include these trial wise in the steady raid schedule.
We hear you, Chris has always been an advocate for people raising their hand if they want to do more, but as the recent sentiment shows: there is a need for us to come to you. If there is a want for diversity of raids, let's try and get these included!

The working raids will remain, so APFs for example will not be affected.
We are hoping to accommodate the usual routine of AP you've come to know and love, but we want to expand it.
Our raid schedule and routine is unique amongst AO organizations and shows our commitment to each other and the alliance.
Which slots these new raids may occupy will be up for discussion, but prior to this, there is some input we would like to receive from all of you.

Considering that organizing this requires ample effort, we would like to know who is:

1 - Interested in doing these.

2 - What time you can be available (please include your timezone/regular playhours)

3 - What you can commit to timewise to complete the raids - e.g. 2+ hours in a single sitting, depending on the raid and the raid groups level of success.

4 - If, when interested, you have a character (or several) up to the task gearwise (e.g. at least endgame parts for your build, like beast weapons, Nanodeck, endgame nano's and as close to, if not 220).

5 - Recommended: Being willing to read up on the raid mechanics of choice, and perhaps watch video content of those raids being done to familiarize yourself with what awaits you.

Reply to this post with the above information to show your enthusiasm for the idea and to help us organize it in order to assess more effectively if this effort is achievable, and worth the planning efforts it involves.

NOTE: Not having done these raids before is not a problem. So long as you ensure that you have a good idea of what awaits (see point 5 above), your presence is very much welcome.
We all have to start doing raids for the first time, and we can provide instruction during them, but minimizing the required time to explain things will result in smoother progress, and less time spent.
With that mention, you not only respect your own time, but that of the raid leaders and organizers simultaneously.
In addition, if you are, as someone expressing interest, experienced with doing these raids and are willing to lead/support raid leading them, let us know. Help in all forms is always appreciated.

If you have come this far reading the post, I assume your interest is piqued.
To help you get acquainted with what awaits, you will find some guides below:

Good job Stockframe :D It's great to see always more initiative.

Thanks for starting this and formalizing it, as we discussed it informally at start on AP Discord.

I'll come back to you to organize this, like schedule, bots, making this more visible etc. Don't be worried; things like that take time. People don't react instantly, even to good ideas.

Fantastic effort following through Stock, definitely register my interest. Like Cheri I fall outside the usual times, I'm probably that far away I would be outside when locks expire for most!

For me I am a GMT+10 player that can be on most evenings from 8-10pm, that generally applies all week and on the weekends I am available most mornings from 7 - 10am uninterrupted in addition to that time.

I've got my enforcer (gimp in betas) and my engie (gimp not in betas yet), and hoping to bring my doc up to that level shortly in the future, noting its on a second account. I would be angling for running stuff from pande up as a result with a focus on gearing up others as we progress in difficulty through the raids.

In full support of this intiative I would happily run any raids outside of the usual EU times which unfortunately fall at 4am for me, with a further note that because of that time difference I am not the most experienced leader, but keen to learn and always prep myself with a read of aou beforehand.

I am definitely interested in doing all of the raids. I'm just a bit unsure at the moment of my ability timewise. I would probably have more ability in the evenings GMT -5 for a couple of hours on most nights, but that seems to be when most active people are asleep. :<

Thus far only my main MA Katana 220 would be remotely capable, but she isn't even in Beta/250 symbs yet and currently only uses 1 shen stick/bow hotswap which is useless in raids. :/ I am working on getting my Crat and Engi duo going, they're currently at 100 and in the process of gearing/twinking and then learning to properly multibox. Eventually I might also get a Shade/Keeper duo going, and then have the keeper to also be a support for my MA so they can duo most content.
