Hello Paladins. /curt I go by many names, but on Rubi-ka I was primarily known as Katana (just call me Kat :3) and Rogue. My timezone is Central USA, CDT -5/CST -6 GMT/UTC. I'm active at varying hours, sometimes mornings, sometimes late evening, but most often in my afternoons and evenings. I'm returning to AO after a 15 year hiatus. I played as a froob for a couple of years from 2005-2007 and then paid on and off until around 2011. I am hoping to re-experience some of the lore and story, finally take on the alien playfields and raids that I was never able to back then without others to play with, and have spent the past few weeks making many characters and relearning the game. I'm finding my old main was far from finished and has some build issues. I am overwhelmed trying to solo harder content with her, so I am working on making new characters to take to the end game.

Please consider this my formal application to join your Organization. I absolutely agree with the Code of Conduct (https://www.athenpaladins.org/forums/vi ... p?f=8&t=69) and will do my utmost to abide by it. I can be very impulsive at times, so please let me know if I make a misstep. I would like to join Athen Paladins because I have a great deal of respect for your organization and am looking for a traditional group of friendly, knowledgeable folks who know the world well and want to play cooperatively together. I was in the Alliance back in the day, a member of the Red Tigers, Unity of the Rose, and First Light organizations at different times.

I finally settled on learning Trader these past few weeks and raised Lyn from scratch, hoping to solo Cerubin on her as a challenge, like I did on Rogue back in the day. I need QL145 Biomech to get those pesky QL 200 implants in, so I'm currently trying to raise Felyne and Palico in tandem to 81 to roll those. :) Rolling mishes is one of my favorite things to do in AO, especially on Fixer, part of why Rogue is locked to 150. I hope to also solo S10 someday, maybe after I get GAIV. I'd love to team up with others for farming, leveling, quests, raids, whatever, at least in between the literal days it takes me to set up and put in implants. I know most people are probably at 220 though, so it's probably going to be a while yet til I can do much.

Thank you for your patience with my logorrhea if you made it this far. I have developmental and physical disabilities, so sometimes I can't keep up with chat or get easily overwhelmed.

So welcome back in AO, and, yes, we remember you somewhat from the time you were in an Alliance org. :) This means your invite will be fast.

So, let's get practical:

YOU ARE JUST 4 (actually 1 is already done) SMALL EASY STEPS TO JOINING ATHEN PALADINS


1. 45 SECONDS OF READING (ALREADY DONE)

2. ENTER OUR HOME
  • Join our guest channel on our org bot ("Bobsan") so we can meet in Anarchy Online:
    • - Ask any AP member to invite you to our guest channel. Just say you are an applicant.
      You can usually find AP members at the ramp of the big Vanguards building near Old Athen Grid terminal (where the NPC Ramon Bauer stands).
      OR
      - Invite yourself: if you can’t find a member you can self invite by typing /tell Bobsan !join
    These are temporary invites: do it again each time you want to be on guest chat.

    Once on guest chat, feel free to introduce yourself and ask for an officer. Also ask for help with any questions you may have about your application.

    At some point, an officer will contact you for a brief interview.

3. FIND AN OFFICER TO TALK TO
  • Help, questions, concerns, interview… Officers are here for you.

    Once you are on our Guest channel (see #2 above), do !online in chat to see who is online and to find any of the officers listed below.
    OR
    You can directly see if a specific officer is online and on what alt, by using the command !is in chat, like for example, !is Reyz will return the character(s) Reyz is online with.
