Friday with Means - October 16th, 2009
Last week we decided to not release the perk documentation based on the idea that we felt it would only create more questions and provide few answers in terms of the "big picture". The general feeling from the community was that you would all rather see "some" information until ALL the information was available.

So put simply: "Here it is"

We have also included a brief document (Perk Changes Overview.pdf) trying to explain the consistent changes through all the perks and a small amount of the reasoning behind the changes.

For a general focusing of effort in terms of centralizing feedback concerning the ongoing balancing efforts we have created a "Balance Discussion" forum. I would encourage the use of this area to make it easier for us to not "miss" ideas that right now are spread thinly over the entire forums.

We will make all possible effort to deliver the information concerning additional changes to profession tool-sets as soon as possible.

Docs:
* get a 10min Treatment Transfer now. OH BOY!
* Viral Combination will be easier to land ... which doesn't get used all that often anyway as triple-dotting in PVP is a pretty big hassle to keep up.
* Changes to the AI "Embrace" line, which almost no docs use, and still won't after these changes.

Fixers:
* some nice duration improvements
* ECM changes to 10sec 100% resist against Traders. IF that also REMOVES the debuff that is great. If not ... it's a downgrade imo.
* Good changes to the AI perk line "Dark Kin" but not earthshattering.

Shade:
* Appear to just be damage adjustments and a couple of casting duration changes (as per the overview). Nothing that is going to have much affect on Shades overall.
* Interesting change to the "Shadow" line, last action executable while concealed, but don't know anyone who used it before ... not sure it will be worth losing other perks for unless you have a lot of AI levels.

I find it sad that Fixers were promised close to a year ago and even getting a mention in a recent FWM that they would get love and it morphed into trying to fix ALL professions and yet doesn't seem to be doing much for the ones I played. The AAO/AAD changes are welcome. That's about it so far. I know they'll have to do more than perk balancing but ... really ... so far nothing significant. And no ... tons of FA doesn't fix Fixers, it just makes Soldiers whine about Fixers.
