I had the most fun i'd had playing in a long time the last 2 hours i played anarchy, thanks female, svanya, teredoc, tankenstein. I've since decided that me and anarchy have grown apart i have lost the "love of the game" everything seems like a burden, i also felt as if every time i logged on i would see "welcome to marlark online" even tho he pays the same as i do he get to chose what i could and couldnt do, as a paying player i never got to see "zods" or "the beast" and im not a person big on being told what i can and cant do when someone should have equal athority as me. so this is where me and anarchy part ways, but just because i quit anarchy doesnt mean i quit the paladins, anything that was of any use i donated to the org, and anyone that needs it is more than welcome to it, so long and have fun. as you ll soon find out, in a game like AO its the people that matter and hold it together no matter what the status of the game is.

you shouldn't blame Marlark for your problems with zods or beast, he just provides the bots and sets up rules to make it as fair as possible.

Sorry to see you leaving AO. Your were close to Zods by the way. But as Core said, after a while you should realize that the community is more important than anything else in AO, and no other game has such a community.

Please drop us a line from time to time and keep in touch with us on our firums... until, I hope, you come back some day. W'ell be there for you.

Take it easy Kman ... remember you have a toon all ready to do those other things if/when you do decide to come back. You have a lot of options if you choose, but definitely "get it" as to why you're tired of AO.

"fair as possible" ? to me lately that s a JOKE ...and I do share the same feelings like Kman.

I can say I m not far from Kman to give up the game for a while just cause how those bots are runned

Marl balances the raiding between the pvp'ing. He can't make everyone happy because some people only want to raid and others only want to pvp. His rules are fair enough to most people, if you're one of those people that only want to raid or pvp then you will probably always have a problem with Marls bots. But for most people it is fair.

I'm not trying to flame you vasc or kman but you should understand in what kind of position Marl is in, he can never make everyone happy and lets face it: the hardcore pvp people have most influence over Marl. So i doubt the bots or its rules will change soon.

I wasn t talking about the bots themselves BUT about the way that are runned and the fact that MARLARK got to decide "the rules"

Talking about fairness:
-I bidded on an item that I allready had ... mistake ... did I get my points back since the RL decided not to delete the item but to reroll ... NOPE I DIDN T get my points back only Marlark s sarcasm ... wich I didn t appreciate

-some items that are worth at least 100 points won with 1 points cause many ppl couldn t ADD (LAG) ... how s that fair against those who struggle to gather those points...?

-did you NOTICE HOW CERTAIN ppl gets the invite or raidadd even the timelimit has passed?

BOT s are a good thing and are neccessary but I would prefer the Council (who is at least the ppl s choice) to make the rules for BOT s

PS and as a last thing HOW do I know that CERTAIN ppl don t get points even tho they are not at raids? Why the points list is not public? So everyone can check? Forget me BUT I live in the real world and I tend to be pessimistic and not to trust things just because someone says that they are right. Like in this case " Trust me ... I m Marlark ... I m fair with everyone..."

I dont think Vasc meant it that way Pax. I do feel much the same at times. Its not the bots that i dislike, they offer a great service to all of us and help organise things, however the rules that are enforced my them do restrict too much in a way. I can (grudgingly) live with the do not raid outside this bot as i understand the absolute choas that would happen if people went FFA. However stopping people of certain levels / proffesions doing something is wrong. Imo if someone can get somewhere without dieing they have every right to be there as they are paying for it. Two examples of that are pande and tara. At tara no-one is allowed to go to the t-room, I know this to protect the loot but it also stops many people from seeing tara, i mean whats the point of rolling on loot if you've never even seen what you are defending? At pande its restricted to 215, even though there are items that a 205 can equip. It would be nice to see this opened up so that anyone able to enter pande is allowed to go, definately not get points but just go for the experience of doing something new. Some items are restricted to certain proffesions making it impossible to get for others. i.e. GPH. This is just restricting the game where it shouldnt be.

Most people claim that the level barrier in pande is to help stop lag, which may be true but its also complete BS, Im sure if the servers kept diing in pande FC would actually do something about it rather than making us solve their problems.

The CBC was a small step in the right direction but even that now seems like more of a puppet that has been created to present the illusion of democracy. Yet Marl still has reserved the right to veto anything.

When i was still only around 180-200 I hated marl and saw him as an evil dictator that needed to be removed from the game. That still lurks in my subconcious but i have come to understand the shear scale of the problems that bots cause and people do as well.

In conclusion bots are a great help but shouldnt restrict any part of the game beyond that of creating political stability
FC with their useless attitude dont help make this any easier for us all.

Where to start

Well i know the 1 point thing annoyed many people but would you be complaining if you had won? Lag isnt something that can be blamed on the bot system, it should be blamed on FC.
For instance i have missed out on several tnh belts because my chat lags alot.

People getting added after the adds have finished is based case by case, its at the rl's discretion. There have been a few times when ive managed to make zods or been at tara but forgotten to join the bot. Just talk nicely to the rl and explain the situation and most times they will help you out.

Ive been raidadded at tara 10mins late by a RL that didnt like me at the time because i sent them a tell explaining why i would miss the adds. (Some lowbie had dumps 2 bp's of imp on me to make but had bought alot of wrong clusters so i was explaining how it worked)

The bot council are getting towards making rules, its slow but might just happen

At tara the points list is public. at pande its private because it would mess with bidding if it public. you can see the top 10 tho.

As for adding points the only person who could do that is marl by directly manipulating the database. And there is no way that could be checked for. However you just have to trust that he wouldnt do that.
