17.5 should see a new MP mez pet introduced.
Currently, the nano casted by the pet does nothing though: it's being evaluated by developers.

Nano Crystal - Weaving strands of energy, nanobots will create Yidira. No one is completely certain whether Yidira is a purely artificial construct created by the hand of a skilled nano programmer ages past, or the temporary manifestation of a real entity. Whatever the case, Yidira will obey the orders of the meta physicist. The attack of Yidira confuses and clouds the mind.

Yidira nano is given as the reward of the huge penumbra quest (something like the big Adonis quest).
You take it from the Yuttos at the Adonis/Penumbra portal.
It's not a hard quest for a level 220, but it's a really long one with a lot of running (if you have garden and possibly sanctuary keys, and are high enough for not getting aggro so level 204-205, it's not really a pain though). On the bright side it's more original than just killing mobs without reason.

The difference is it involves completing Alappaa quest too in the end (Yidira is the last reward)
