fisty: welcome back, I don't see you enough.

I think you'll be able to figure a few things out with limited help from the peanut gallery.

Firstly, check around for people doing AI raids. (I do em all the time, as many as 2 a night on noobasmurf) and all orgmates at TL4-5 are welcome to come. Stuff that drops on AI raids might not be all that helpful, but some is for sure...

If you don't have one yet, a Communication relay will help buff your nano skills a bit.
AXP will allow you to beef up your AI perks eventually, as you keep killing alien mobs.
---> It's a well known fact S10 gives crap AXP, so, make sure to go on raids as much as possible in order to get the decent AXP.


You're not a big pvper, so, the best thing a PVM fixer can do is fish around for items which add dmg. Particularly, you want add energy dmg.
The other thing is crit. If you can bump up your crit with a scope, (ask around) you'll see an increase in your damage. Don't worry about "twinking" if it makes your head hurt, screw it. Lots of people don't twink anyway.

Lastly, google "clicksaver" and download that program (V 2.4.4.), AND THE ASSOCIATED COPIED AO DB(scroll down the page you found clicksaver on) You need this because the old one is whacky and clicksaver cant read it. Check out http://www.auno.org and look at fixer nanos. punch in the ones you want to roll in clicksaver, then go run some missions to get the nanos. Doing this you will: make money, get tokens, and get the nanos you need. Sell the rest of the stuff you find for some serious cash.

heh fisty this is the problem with random teams. If they have some elitest complex then they think everyone not in full Alien armour, twinked out symbs, HUDs, UTILs and weaps is "gimp" and needs an upgrade. Best thing to do it focus on the job a fixer is supposed to do. In S10 i'm sure thats things like snare, give NCU, HoTs... hmm not sure what else. anyway if you are in a 6 man team then you dont need to be doing uber dmg. If you do you will likely get agg and die anyhow. when i team set up a macro /macro assist /assist <tank/caller> have that as 1 on hotbar. Then you go 1, Q, Burst etc etc. So you dont agg a mob that isnt being agged and die.

What I would do is save your s10 runs for org teams (if any are going). Make you you ALWAYS have the missions rolled. For the cage the lava one put your cage things in your hotbar and keep an eye out, soon as you taget a lava... SPAM. I did it like that a ppl would be like "whoa.. someone always beats me!" haha.

Anyway run some ado hecks on 100% research when you can. Definitely go lft "LE/city raid" and yeah find ALL the nanos you need for your lvl from rulzie's list. Put those names (copy & paste) into your new Clicksaver and roll for all at once. That increases your chance of a match.

Anyhow, i have a soldier who is 150 and gimp as hell, maybe we can be gimp together lol

cool thanks guys and here's an update...I reached lvl 150 last night...I now have xp turned off. But I was told to set research to 6% on personal and to turn global research off. I believe Pablito and Boomer said it was lvl capped. But were were blasting on ELY hecks at the time so I don't remember if that was correct.

Anyway I guess my questions now is:

Can I team with lavl 200 dudes for laffs?

What should I set my research at (both personal and general) and what is it for?

Are new areas now opened to me? (shadowlands, xan, etc?)

What is the meaning of life?

Why isn't there any Santa Claus?

Whay do I always have to wash my collection of stretch socks after wearing them for 2 months?

Hiya Fisty, glad you made it to 150 Since you don't want to level anymore you should set personal research to 100%. I believe global research has been finished so you don't need to put anything in that.

Fisty, if you have turned XP off then put research to 100%. level capped means 2 thing, firstly you cant finish out all 10 lines cos each new line has a level requirement. I think you can max out to line 6 at 150. 7 is 175, 8 is 190, 9&10 are 200. The other thing is each level of research has a cap which is 5% of the total amount of research needed to complete the line so you have to kill minimum 20 mobs to fill research. Similar to normal XP caps which is 10%. Extra XP would normally then trickle into levelling, but you dont want that. If you want to be tricky and you are maxing out your research cap you can turn XP back on and let the bar fill up a bit then turn it off. But you dont want a Noobas-like situation where you accidently ding 151 so maybe not.

You can team up to 207 i think. Unfortunately there is not much that a 207 does that a 150 can do also. Such as inferno mish, Xan mish, s13, 28, 35 etc. But yeah you can potentially team. You can also get into BS (battle station) the station is outside the entrance to newland city. you just r-click on it and say sign up. It will tell you how many in the queue. 6 is the minimum on both sides to start. You can then meep around RK or SL and if BS runs you will get a notice on your screen "there is an opening in the battle station.. yada yada" you can accept or deny. If you accept it'll warp you. If you deny you will carry on but lose your spot in line. BS is not for the faint of heart. People will eat you up. If you want a go tell some AP and we can log our toons to try and help.

I got to team with Crisax the other night. First time for me...he was gracious and generous as usual. I just happend to go on an ADO key quest that other folks were doing...( I already have the key but i wanted to have fun with org mates...) Boomer was there too and others...it was fun but i had to quit as my arms gave out on the typing...sometimes my disability interferes with my gaming but thats life...
anyway...I still have xp turned off. So im' locked in at 150. Been doing sec 10 to try to farm the big ticket items but have gotten nothing so far...except dying alot. Im also almost dinged into another alien perk which will let me put on arithamtic armor (helmet and sleeevs I believe) but I keep dying and losing my alien xp...
Fell like Im a bit in limbo here still...just a tad directionaless...
anyway...
was wondering if any of my buddies in AP have any ideas as to what or where i should be doing/going?

Or should i shut up and get on with AP life?

One quest i havent done yet is team Fgrid...

I wish we were online more at the same time. I did two great AI raids, no deaths, just me an alt, my buddy mica, and a gimp doc. No deaths, (no bots), but no problem. I got 3 AI dings. two on hackhammer and 1 on smurfies. Maybe try to get into a LE mish team for faster AXP.

LE mishers loooove GSF. So, anyone who knows what they are doing will pick up a fixer.

It seems that some people are working on toons for lvl 150 lik noobas, rulz and me on my sol.
Also doing ado brain quest halfway, rather long one and you will need help to complete some pieces. Would be nice to do such a thing all together but timing seems to be a big issue.

Have you completed all research for the lvl? I try to get in Ado heck teams to complete my research lines now. It's slow but I like to have lvl/research/AIlvl be balanced out.

So alot of things that you can do ofc

ado brain quest
ado heck killing for completing research lines
le mish for axp (and tokens)
S10 for some cred making and some slower axp (with some luck get to gen an win nice stuff).

For the moment i'm combing them all but focussing on the brain quest (such a big boost to nice skills).

what noobas said for AXP on raids. For lvl 150 the best place to get AXP is city raids with a ship, then LE mish then s10. For the most part in s10 you do small team farms near the entrance and most are grey so the AXP blowes. For your toon he's not all that well equipped so soloing aliens is a tough job. They hit hard for their level, they hit fast and they can have pretty high AR (some do some dont). So dont be too disheartened about it. the uber fixers you hear about are the GA4 fixers hugely twinked out on evades.

What noobs and cutie said for ado brain. If you were to do ado brain by yourself and you knew what to do, knew your way around and didnt really have any problems enlisting a 220 crat then you could do it in maybe 4-6 hours. Its a lot of running long distances here and there to get to different markers and mobs etc. As cutie said some sections are flat out impossible on a 150 toon. Best thing to do is to start it. then ask for help. on parts you need help on. If all else fails i'll get my NT to ado, grab the key and then we can leech off my crat ftw!

One thing you can always do is to roll lvl 200 RK mish (if you can) and try to loot chests and such for phatz. Take bags with you and loot clusters (for implants) and implant sets (all the different slots in the same lvl). A full bag of 200 basic imps (we can clean them for you) can make you a lot of money over time. Its also handy for your next toon you roll! Its a grind sometimes, but will help you learn fixer well and you can always ask Mophro for blitzing advice!

i was involved in my first Tara raid last night. Lordkosh and Elro were kind enough to let me join...I had to read the rules once I was at camalot and I barely understood what was being said in them hahahahah
I was surrounded by all High lvl toons all red bar to me and I was being buffed into oblivion by them all...then suddenly everyone stated running to a central area and LK told me to head south in the room to stay with Elro as Tara was coming,
so In good form, i turned around and fell straight into the lava lake...and burned up immediately...
I tried to make it back but the mobs in that place dusted me...

so I never saw Tara...never pvp and sucked lava...
alll in all it was a good night for me...continuing in the Fisty tradtition of quick and easy deaths...

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand the quarterback was toast! FTD!!!!

lava hits hard. it got a big boost a few patches ago.

stick with the zerg to survive. I went to my first tara at around level 160. I recommend keep going. you'll learn quickly about pvp there. you'll learn: how to build an assist macro, how to use an assist, how easily an assist macro works to your advantage, how to use LOS to your advantage, and how easily you die when others use assist on you.

Those, by the way, are some of the best and most useful lessons to learn in AO. Those are the start of pvp madness!
