Beta Preorder Rewards
Re: Beta Preorder Rewards
Scratch that code just received and I have myself a "dog"...next time I'll wait longer.
Re: Beta Preorder Rewards
Remembered that I added my email to their newsletter several years ago. Funny. Still. Sitting here figuring out if I want to play this game or not. Looks very nice indeed. And it does offer a lifetime sub. even tho it will cost me about 2300:-/SEK.
How many of you got a PRE-Order package? and if you did, what pack did you get? Is it worth 199€ for Life play? about 13/14 months of normal 1 month subs.

Re: Beta Preorder Rewards
Good to know it's fixed, Calen.
Kilajan: I have a Grand Master pack. I guess Cavey got one too. (?) Not sure what Bredin and Crash got, or Sillanto, Lasa, Rulzie and others.
It's quite simple for me:
- I wanted to reserve the name "Chrisax" so I had to get at least the Master pack.
- I wanted to have early access so I can prepare the landing of AP better, so I had to pre-order
- An extra character slot could help for org bank, so Master pack again
- Little bonus items for start (don't hope for much): good to save some time and that's a thing I need a lot, time! So I wouldn't buy something just because of bonus items, but if they come with what I buy, all fine.
- And, finally, the monthly fee is around 14 euros so 168 euros a year. (There will likely be a discount for one year though.) This means that if you think you can play around one year and a half total (including that you can play casually over more than one year in the future, like coming back a few months each year), you start saving money with a lifetime account during the second year.
Adding all the above made the Grand Master pack quite an acceptable option.
Of course, lifetime accounts money is a way for FC to get fast cash immediately and to -more or less- compensate the loss in company results that usually appears for the Quarter a game is launched.

Re: Beta Preorder Rewards
As I have yet to test this game. It's good to know that you and some others from AP is planing to play it for a long time.
As my IRL friends don't play any MMO, and most of the other people I still know in the MMO world play games like WoW. I do find it boring to play a game "alone".
Right now I got 1 year annual pass on WoW ( currently not playing, since D3 came out
). Still got an active sub on SWTOR since the pre-access. Waste of money right now. As I'm not playing that either. So I guess 249€ is not that much.
I'm just worried that it will end like Conan, Aion and other "free to play" games.
I still got a day to decide.
And my vacation starts this weekend. So it's rather perfect.

Great to hear from you Kila, regardless of whether you decide to pull the trigger on TSW, I certainly remember you bud.

Re: Beta Preorder Rewards
Are they still limiting all toons on a single account to the same faction?
Re: Beta Preorder Rewards
At the moment, no. You can currently create what you want and I heard nothing about this restriction in the final game.Hyde wrote:Are they still limiting all toons on a single account to the same faction?
I made a search in the docs and on beta forums and found nothing either.
Also, the only thing I read about this was a line on MMORPG.com (or something like this) saying that Ragnar and the devs were toying with the idea of limiting an account to one faction.
The state of the client and the servers being very close to final release, my bet is they won't introduce this now, especially without prior warning.
Also this would make lifetime accounts quite pointless (having an account for life but never be able to play the storyline of another faction?!)
Now don't shoot me if they change something at the very last second. But I seriously doubt it.
