Hi all :D

Current character is Stekki, at this moment a lvl 72 ENG.

I'm returning to AO after a 20y hiatus, so am very excited to explore the new expansions, the higher level endgame options and get to learn a new class or 2 it seems!

Since rejoining AO, I've met 3 people in the same boat, returning after long breaks, and doing so in the past few weeks. Very exciting that the nostalgia is so strong, and the game keeps us engaged even after all these years.

The aim for my account is to get my ENG to full endgame, may use these early levels to explore new content, but the aim is to get up as fast as possible so I can explore the newer endgame content and be a strong ENG for the group.

Currently in GMT -7, USA Mountain Standard. Aiming to be on a few days a week, usually evenings.

Fully agree to the Code of Conduct - AO is now small, we need to be strong and cohesive!

So, one more old-timer back on RK! It's great! Nice coincidence, the previous application, some days ago, was Thaisoldier who is also back after a long time and is also UTC+7 like you ! He is now in AP. :)

As I told him, UTC+7 is not the easiest zone to play in AO for raids, but we have people online around the globe, and if you can play a bit at other times, you should have a great new experience in raids too.

So, you should be able to fulfill all your expectations with us. :)

YOU ARE JUST 4 (actually 1 is already done) SMALL EASY STEPS TO JOINING ATHEN PALADINS


1. 45 SECONDS OF READING (ALREADY DONE)

2. ENTER OUR HOME
  • Join our guest channel on our org bot ("Bobsan") so we can meet in Anarchy Online:
    • - Ask any AP member to invite you to our guest channel. Just say you are an applicant.
      You can usually find AP members at the ramp of the big Vanguards building near Old Athen Grid terminal (where the NPC Ramon Bauer stands).
      OR
      - Invite yourself: if you can’t find a member you can self invite by typing /tell Bobsan !join
    These are temporary invites: do it again each time you want to be on guest chat.

    Once on guest chat, feel free to introduce yourself and ask for an officer. Also ask for help with any questions you may have about your application.

    At some point, an officer will contact you for a brief interview.

3. FIND AN OFFICER TO TALK TO
  • Help, questions, concerns, interview… Officers are here for you.

    Once you are on our Guest channel (see #2 above), do !online in chat to see who is online and to find any of the officers listed below.
    OR
    You can directly see if a specific officer is online and on what alt, by using the command !is in chat, like for example, !is Reyz will return the character(s) Reyz is online with.

      Chrisax - (President and org Founder) GMT (exceptionally not in-game those days for iRL reasons but soon back)

      Ustarlen - GMT +12
      Scykeep - GMT+2
    • UTC can be seen in-game with the F9 key.

    4. SOMETHING TO REMEMBER
    • You are about to enter an old and happy family. Please join us for the good reasons. This family had been built since 2003 by the work of awesome people. So, as you are joining, we want to mention old friends and officers we lost.
      Reapermann, Fuze, Rampage007…
      You will never see their names online, but if, today, you can join us, it’s also because of them.
