Hey everyone! My name in-game is Moridreth. I initially played AO back as a teenager but never made it very far - furthest was just past ToTW as a froob MP. Out of nostalgia I subscribed to this game again and am having a blast! I'm really enjoying being able to actually understand the IP system, and exploring the Shadowlands for the first time has been amazing.

I'm hoping to join the Athen Paladins to a) join a community of mature-minded folks (as I am now in my early 30's), b) access some of the content which is tough for someone to solo (at least for a new player), and c) help other folks down the line as well.

I'm located in a fairly large city on the eastern side of NA (GMT -04:00h) and I'm usually on during evenings if I'm free. My work schedule is somewhat hectic so there are some days where i may not pop on, but I think I'm pretty thoroughly hooked on AO's world and system for now!

My lone character is as follows:

Moridreth Keeper 131/7/4 Neutral (currently making his way through Scheol and getting destroyed by the Ely Hecks when trying to take them on solo)

I fully agree to the COC + Org Chat rules.

In my spare time I like to language learn (I speak passable? German and am starting to learn Mandarin), am beginning to get back into bouldering, and play D&D with a group of friends each week.

While Athen Paladins is a clan org. We do have a Neutral org that has a linked chat if you desired to keep your Keeper as a Neutral player.

The next step is to join our guest channel on our org bot so we can meet/team online. Any AP member can invite you to guest chat. It does not have to be an officer.
You can usually find AP members at the big Vanguards building ramp near OA grid terminal.
If you can’t find a member you can self invite by typing /tell Bobsan !join
This is a temporary invite, so you'll have to do it each time you want to be on guest chat.

Once on guest chat, feel free to ask for an officer and introduce yourself, and also ask for help with any questions you may have about your application.

At some point soon, after you've spent some time with us, an officer will contact you for a brief interview. As our officers can be busy with raids and other duties, it may take a moment to contact you. Always feel free to tell an officer that you are there.

Scykeep: it's funny thinking of myself as a "youngster!" Although it makes total sense, given how long AO and the Athen Paladins have been around.
