Returning AO Vet – Writofmarion (aka Riskynick)

Greetings AP,

I’m a longtime AO player returning to my roots with a fresh Clan character named Writofmarion.

I used to run a three-faction organization called Rubi-Ka Roamers, but eventually realized that wasn’t quite my jam. I ended up consolidating into a smaller, more social org with just close friends. These days, we mostly stay in touch via Discord and the org is purely social.

I’ve got a handful of characters, most with variations of my AO Discord name: Riskynick.

I'm typically online in the evenings, around 00:00–03:00 UTC, and I’m hoping to dive back into the AO community with a group that’s active, welcoming, and still having fun out there. After 20+ years of loving every inch of this addictive world, I’m excited about the idea of joining a solid org again—and yours looks like a great fit.

Here are your next moves for joining AP:



YOU ARE JUST 4 (actually 1 is already done) SMALL EASY STEPS TO JOINING ATHEN PALADINS


1. 45 SECONDS OF READING (ALREADY DONE)

2. ENTER OUR HOME
  • Join our guest channel on our org bot ("Bobsan") so we can meet in Anarchy Online:
    • - Ask any AP member to invite you to our guest channel. Just say you are an applicant.
      You can usually find AP members at the ramp of the big Vanguards building near Old Athen Grid terminal (where the NPC Ramon Bauer stands).
      OR
      - Invite yourself: if you can’t find a member you can self invite by typing /tell Bobsan !join
    These are temporary invites: do it again each time you want to be on guest chat.

    Once on guest chat, feel free to introduce yourself and ask for an officer. Also ask for help with any questions you may have about your application.

    At some point, an officer will contact you for a brief interview.

3. FIND AN OFFICER TO TALK TO
  • Help, questions, concerns, interview… Officers are here for you.

    Once you are on our Guest channel (see #2 above), do !online in chat to see who is online and to find any of the officers listed below.
    OR
    You can directly see if a specific officer is online and on what alt, by using the command !is in chat, like for example, !is Reyz will return the character(s) Reyz is online with.

    4. SOMETHING TO REMEMBER
    • You are about to enter an old and happy family. Please join us for the good reasons. This family had been built since 2003 by the work of awesome people. So, as you are joining, we want to mention old friends and officers we lost.
      Reapermann, Fuze, Rampage007…
      You will never see their names online, but if, today, you can join us, it’s also because of them.
