Re: buying game
Noobas could get the game, so it would be great if he could tell you how he did.
I'm not totally sure at what step you are. Did you downloaded several gigabytes (hours of DL) so it's really the game and not just the launcher/patcher? (I thought you had to pay before downloading now.)
So it's just in your account pages when you try to enter the order process?
If it's the case, let's wait for Noobas answer first. It could be a question of ISP and IP addresses range. For example, the swtor site has wrong info about the IP range you're in.
With Noobas' answer, you could either:
- contact swtor support but so far I must say they never replied to me for me in-game (dunno outside)
- spend 5 dollars or so and get a proxy account for one month (I'll tell you where and how; it's VERY easy), so you have another IP, in Europe for example, and you can order. I never saw a game testing the IP range after placing the order. (For City of heroes, NCSoft actually asks players to register and validate the IP's they use for playing, for security, but they don't restrict them as far as I know.)
- assuming there is no obvious solution!
So... Noobas ! ! ! ! !
When I see him, I'll tell him to contact you.
Edit: I Googled and I saw that:

So it indirectly confirms Australian people can play at the moment on US or Europe serversSWTOR: Australia and New Zealand launch confirmed!
We can confirm that Star Wars: The Old Republic will be launching in Australia and New Zealand in the spring of 2012.
Right now we are targeting March 1st, but that could change as our number one priority is making sure that customers have a great service to play on.
For those of you who may have already imported the game, we will be investigating solutions to allow you to continue to play on a local server once they come online in March.
EDIT: As pointed out, southern hemisphere seasons are reversed! When we say ‘Spring’ you can substitute ‘Q1/Q2 2012′. Apologies for that.
Re: buying game
Noobas was online last night but not sure he saw my line about payment issues. 'My bad, I hate SWTOR chat and I maybe made an error. I'll make sure he reads me today.
Nevertheless, here is how to do if your IP is refused when you try to "redeem" your activation code. 'Last night you told me the only issue was the "redeeming" part.)
As I said there are many other VPN suppliers, free or less expensive, but the one I mentioned is easy to use.
If you encounter connections issues with the VPN, it might be your firewall. See their help page or ask me but as I don't know what your firewall is, I can't tell your right now what to do. Basically, you have to tell the firewall that the VPN connection is trusted.
I hate to say that but if you're lost with firewalls, what you could just do is (gasp) switching your firewall off JUST for the time you need to use the VPN. This ten minutes-risk is limited really for a home user.
If you are confused, please let me know. It's normal as it's your first time in such things.
Good luck with your subscription.

Re: buying game
Rojo I actually bought a hardcopy thru amazon. I had the same problem as you stated in a previous post.
cost 95$ or whatever with the delivery- then something like 80 bucks for the sub.
I had mine delivered on dec 23rd.
Check amazon.
I'll be happy to answer any questions you have otherwise.
