I recently re-installed the game and downloaded all the maps that are stickied on here.
They are in the right directory, but wont register in-game? Like when I press "I" on Planet Map, only the default + Dovves are options? :S
Anyone ever encountered something similar or knows how to fix? Thanks!
Maps Trouble
Re: Maps Trouble
To start with, please check:
- the location is:
harddrive:\Program Files\Funcom\Anarchy Online\cd_image\textures\PlanetMap
or anyhow: <something>/Anarchy Online\cd_image\textures\PlanetMap if you used another path
- in this PlanetMap folder you must place the FOLDER of each map and NOT the files directly, so, for example, you'll have
...Anarchy Online\cd_image\textures\planetmap\AoRK
(and the files of AORK maps inside the AORK folder)
as you already have
...Anarchy Online\cd_image\textures\planetmap\dovves
- do you have for each map several files in their respective folders? Like AoRK.bin and AoRK.txt (check that you unzipped all files)
- r-click on the folders and map files and check Properties: they must not be "hidden" (or "read-only" (it's possible it matters on some installs...) and in the "Security" tab of Properties in Win7 (or the equivalent in other systems) they must be at least "read and execute" and "read" for your user.
