1) Recruitment policy
We need your last comments and suggestions, if any, about the following, for this is going to be our policy and we need to start recruiting fast now.
- We are good friends and we want to remain an organization of friends
- We want to help people to help themselves and raise their characters and not to assist them permanently or do their job
- We do not want selfish, arrogant, or rude people
- We want people who share, help, are friendly, and team well
So :
- We want to know people at least a bit before inviting them; this can be done by teaming, chatting, working together, or helping (and see how the person reacts to our help),…
- Real life friends and family are welcome, regardless of their level, because they are considered "known"
- Friends and teammates of AO (or from other games) are extremely welcome !!!!
- Experienced players are welcome, regardless of the level of the character they bring into the org
- For other people, the lower level to join the Paladins would be 20, although it is not mandatory. This level does not apply to alts of course! (Note that a very cool person can be invited under level 20)
- All alts are automatically welcome in the org
- A new person will be an applicant for two weeks (except if decided otherwise by the advisors and the president, for very special reasons)
- If we cannot team with a new person, we will watch him/her on org chat during his/her applicant period
- If we were cautious before inviting a person, it should be quite rare to have to kick the person at the end of the two weeks
- We will stop recruiting low levels (but above 20) if -and as soon as- we see we\'re spending more time teaching people than doing anything else
- (Not discussed at the meeting) Only Advisors, Veterans, President are able to invite; members and applicants can of course propose new people
- (Not discussed at the meeting) Promoting to the Veteran status is technically done by the president after a vote of advisors and president; this is based on personal merit, commitment to the org, and fair behaviour
- All professions and tome zones are welcome. We MUST fill gaps in time zones, as well as in some professions.
- Recruiting people in the range where we have Paladins able to team is of course a must for everyone
- (Not discussed at the meeting) It would be great that highest characters LEVEL UP so we can attract high characters! (Not all of them are in orgs, or some may have left one)
2) Promotions
Xioying is our first Veteran
3) Making people use the message board
Proposals:
- The wish list thread (everyone can ask for help to mission an item, do a quest etc). No wish can be accepted if not posted on the message board !
- The loot lists (highest members loot some dynacamps or dungeons and we create a loot list. If someone needs an item, he posts a message.
- Teams and raids threads: for big or unusual operations, start threads
When all that (and maybe more) is ready, start insisting on the org chat about the board. (No use to insist as long as the board is not ready)
4) A shared account and shared characters
Weric has kindly opened an account that the founders of the Paladins can use. This will allow us to have one or more shared characters, very useful for buffs, storage, etc. By playing these characters a bit, each of us, we could level them decently without too much work.
The account name and password MUST NOT be posted on this message board !
5) Tower questions and tower characters
We had no time to discuss this in depth. It is essential that we take stock of those questions.
- How (and who) are the characters / alts now?
- How ready are they?
- Work together to equip them (temple runs, help with implants, armors, weapons, etc)
6) A place to meet for the Paladins
Like the table was for the rangers… Everybody please search!
